I don't think it's worth splashing Black just for the Sideboarded Underworld Cerberus . He's a cool card by all means, but in RDW he just doesn't fit. Not to mention the fact that taking out those 4 Blood Crypt s will save you both Life and Money.

I like the ideas you're presenting here but I feel like planning for something as potentially long-game as having an Underworld Cerberus die to recur and slow roll your creatures is a bit of a long shot. I feel that he isn't a bad side-board option just as the creature that he is, but I agree with Jp3ngu1nb0y that as the only card that requires black mana that its both a tad too inconsistent and not necessarily worthwhile.

Another thing I noted was that you don't have any Burning-Tree Emissary s in this deck which struck me as somewhat unusual considering its synergy with Fanatic of Mogis and with itself. I know that you can't cast Ash Zealot s and such off of them, but, I honestly have never found that to be a particularly serious impediment after two and half solid months playing RDW. After all, even if you just go Burning Tree into Shock or Lightning Strike or even just a second Burning-Tree Emissary then I feel it has made itself worthwhile.

Anyway, regardless, definitely a fan of RDW, good luck with the deck!

If you're going mono-red aggro you NEED Minotaur Skullcleaver .

With a turn 1 cackler and a turn 2 ash zealot for 4, a turn 3 8 damage swing is pretty solid.

This puts them at 9 life.

Then turn 4 play Fanatic of Mogis , throw 5 at their face and swing for the win

looks like a good build, do you get mana flooded often? If you get the time check out my deck Big Red. Btw +1

Firefist Striker is the real pain in the ass, and can be cast with Burning Tree. The block effect is deadly against most aggros and midranges. The major problem monored face (apart from a well placed table wipe) is a full blocking opponent, like a monoblue with 2 Frostburn Weird in the field. Striker change that dynamic, and can keep things like the enemy Reckoner from harming your things.

Talking about table wipe and blockers, I would recommend that full set of Phoenixes. The evasion in priceless. If you absolutely wont go lower in any other creature sets, take out some Lightning Striker / Magma Jet for her. Phoenix is a nightmare for someone unable to hold her, and her passive give you good recover from wipes.

Btw, if you are indeed running Stormbreath Dragon , trade 2 mountains for 2 Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx . The shrine pays for itself with 4 devotion, something you always have, and is a great mean to either drop the dragon, or pay for its monstrosity.

Personally, I dont like Madcap Skills for a "Surprise motherfucker!" card. My weapon of choice is Dynacharge , or Act of Treason . Being a echant, Madcap make his owner into a removal sink, and you lose 2 cards for one of theirs. Azorius Charm, Doom Blade, Mizzium Mortars... enchants are a liability in a scenario flooded with so many removals of all kinds. And your dudes die for every single removal there is. Its a better option to spread your damage dealing than concentrate it.

Azorius Charm isn't removal, just a stall tactic.

I also wanted to sugggest changing the madcaps into mortars, remove anger of the gods from side (it will always hurt you more) and side 4 Skullcrack it is so underplayed and is so amazing versus any life gain, or control deck

No Monastery Swiftspears?

Somunus21, Monastery Swiftspear is good, but she neeeds a lot of non-creature spells to back her up, which is not what deck is about. Mine is about tons of creatures.

you need prof flamespeaker. he adds tons of dev and can be a draw engine. also id add 2 chandra instead of minning because that card has only one interaction in standard and thats with karametra.

Zurgo is useless in multiples. Maybe cut to a 2-of to avoid clogging your opening draws?

You could do away with Village Messenger  Flip and Geier Reach Bandit  Flip by adding these instead:

You also need more discard outlets:

Just my two cents..
