Just as a heads up, you have two Diabolic Tutors in here. I'd recommend cutting one so you don't have duplicate cards.

Consider finding Sliver Legion, it is one of the most powerful slivers for closing out games.

Finally, Obelisk of Grixis should really become a different mana rock. Chromatic Lantern, Coalition Relic, or just Manalith would work nicely.

Yeah, cut one of the Diabolic Tutors, you dont need and cant use 2

February 2, 2016 7:55 a.m.

This was already stated, but this is one of my pet peeves: you have Diabolic Tutor listed twice. Either that's a typo, or you have two copies in the deck. Either way, that needs to be fixed.

Second, I'm not even going to be as open with my options as lemmingllama: Obelisk of Grixis should be a Chromatic Lantern. It's the greatest mana rock ever for color-intensive decks, such as this one. All of your lands become capable of producing whatever color you need, AND the mana rock produces whatever color you need, all for the same CMC? Yes, please.

Currently at 17 taplands (counting the two tutor lands); bound to happen with a budget land base though, my sliver deck has a similar issue. Knowing that I overcompensated a bit in my incarnation, I still think the land count is a tiny bit low though.

Fixed the duplicate diabolic tutors, must have been a formatting I overlooked when I forgot how to change it to japaneese, I got the error for 101 cards and thought I miscounted my forest, it's fixed now!

@everybody

Thanks for the help, yea the duplicate tutors was an error I made when I changed the language to Japanese, there were never any dupes in the actual deck I own :)

@Llama

I would like to get a sliver legion, but its low on my list, since my deck focuses on going infinite creatures with queen, and rarely does a million 1/1s at any disadvantage over a million 1,000,001/1,000,000s, only thing it gets them out of aoe burn range, but Sliver Hivelord does as well, so at $40 I can't justify it until I have my combo pieces, tutors, mana fixing, and better land base established.

Obelisk is definitely just filler for now, looking into getting better mana rocks, only reason it made it in is for when I pull of infinite mana+creatures+draw, dropping a "haste sliver" for a quick lethal blow. But Definitly taking your advice on Chromatic lantern.

@Drakon

Fix'd

@Comic_book_joker

Yup, gonna order a chromatic lantern this Friday

@nobu

Yea, the taplands are a real game slower, once I finish getting my main combo pieces (Mana Echos, Training Grounds, and Cryptic Gateway, Intruder Alarm) going focus on replacing my duo tap lands out a couple a paycheck with shock lands, then start knocking out my tri-lands with the "comes in play tapped unless control an X or Y" lands.

Very glad to see the Diabolic issue fixed. I noticed two other things, though:

First, as an alternative solution for the taplands, you could also run Amulet of Vigor. For one mana, your taplands automatically untap as soon as they enter the battlefield. It's also useful against the one person in your playgroup that uses silly tricks like Frozen AEther.

Secondly, you need an indestructible artifact of some sort. You need it, because Harmonic Sliver's ability is not a 'may' trigger. It has to happen. Without something to ground that ability, you may very well end up having to blow up your own Chromatic Lantern, Training Grounds, or Mana Echoes. Indestructible doesn't mean that it cannot be targeted, only that it ignores the 'destroy' part, thereby providing you with a safe target to ground out the ability. My personal favorite for such things is Darksteel Ingot.

@Comic_Book_Joker

Thanks for the ideas! Definitely gonna check my store for both of those, maybe a few more indestructible artifacts as well to increase chances of getting one out before harmonic. My next wave up purchases for my deck are going to be some tutors, that should help with odds of getting an amulet of vigor out before my game is stalled to much from my tap lands, and getting my combo-pieces out faster.

picked up a few cards today at the card shop!

Gonna try to see what I can find in couple of other local stores before giving up the search and moving onto tcgplayer, I'll update decklist soon!

You're very welcome. I was simply passing along lessons I remembered a friend of mine having to learn the hard way as he tweaked his own Sliver Overlord EDH deck. If I think of anything else, I'll be sure to pass it along.

I don't know how prevalent Ugin, the Spirit Dragon or All Is Dust is in your meta, but if they show up as often for you as they do for me, you should strongly consider Ghostflame Sliver to prevent those two from forcing you to exile or sacrifice them, respectively.

Major Deck updates!!

Got rid of nearly EVERY Tapland, replacing them with pain lands, got few more tutors, and two indestructible artifacts to buffer against my own harmonic sliver!

First and foremost - it's nice to see a sliver deck that isn't Sliver Overlord.

As for recommendations:

Wild Pair is amazing in Sliver decks.

Hey!

I would suggest the new SoI card Cryptolith Rite to fix your mana. Descendants' Path is really amazing in tribal decks, also some removal wouldn't hurt. Cheers!

UPDATE!

Just added in the alied colored pain lands, Arcane Lighthouse and Holdout Settlement, down to only one of each basic, so i replaced them with john Avon zendy basics, eventually gonna get unhinged, but that's low priority

@EldraziSliverPhyrexian

Really like both of those cards, going to look into getting them next time I'm at the card store! Thanks!

Great Story on the $1 Queen! Nocturnal Outcast have you thought of the more recent Tri-lands? So fay I have liked them on my mana base, they help with consistency but are not that good on the speed.

April 26, 2016 9:36 p.m.

Thanks Mythwind!!I have all of the tri tap-lands, but I replaced them with the bounce Tri lands and pain duo lands, for speed reasons.

Great deck its given me some ideas for my sliver deck have you considered Altar of the Brood I have been debating that card myself.

June 1, 2016 8:34 p.m.

@ElderCheese

Glad it helped!

Well I haven't heard of it before, but I'm definitely considering it, it would go infinite with queen + basal/ashnod's, most likely screeching would be what I'd replace for it would be.

Feel free to link your deck and I'll take a look at it

Slivers for lifeCool thanks

I also recently added Mayael's Aria has not come into play yet most likely because I do not yet have the tutors to get all my combo pieces yet.

Love your little story about how you started building this deck. Bit of a sentimentalist myself. The deck itself looks very good. I'd personally run Sliver Overlord as the commander for that tutor effect but I totally get why you went with the Queen. Infinite combos are always hilarious.
