Changes made recently are added Enlightened Tutor, Solemn Simulacrum, Baleful Strix and Nevinyrral's Disk.

The cutting of Diabolic Intent freed up enough price to include both Enlightened and Solemn. I don't like cutting an unconditional tutor, but for the cost of two other excellent cards it's worth it. Solemn replaces Everflowing Chalice. Strix replaces Glint-Nest Crane. I hate to cut Crane, but I'm finding Strix to be much better overall with Breya because it's essentially a creature removal spell that is also an artifact that can-trips. Strix has much more utility because it's an artifact, an example being it's interaction with Academy Ruins. Crane's really a one shot deal unless I also have Eldrazi Displacer in play.

The artifact creature support package of: Ethersworn Canonist, Etherium Sculptor, Shimmer Myr, Baleful Strix, Solemn Simulacrum and Phyrexian Metamorph has been very good. All these creatures have great interaction with Breya and the rest of the deck's artifact strategies.

Disk replaces Scourglass for now. Scourglass is going through a buyout at TCGPlayer. It was $2 last week and is now pushing $7 and increasing. Disk is less than $1.

You might also check out cards that have "Transmute" like Muddle the Mixture or Perplex. They can serve a dual purpose as counters or tutoring for 2 or 3 cmc cards respectively for a cost of 3. Muddle can grab Nim or Pili and Perplex can get Grand Architect or Ashnod's Altar. The transmute cost is a little high and they're sorcery speed but they're cheap and decently flexible.

AER will be introducing Trophy Mage which for me will be tested. Fetches up Ashnod's Altar, Chromatic Lantern, Sculpting Steel, and Shimmer Myr. Kind of limited (I don't run all the cards mentioned) but it does leave a body and fetches a main combo piece.

Also Spire of Industry will be a thing :p

Kaleidescope, good suggestions. In fact back when this deck was called Breya's Thoptershop with only a $100 budget I did use the transmute cards: Muddle the Mixture and Perplex as budget tutors. I've cut them since I increased the budget for more powerful unconditional tutors like Gamble and Demonic Tutor. There's not really room for them in this current version.

Hey Flagellum, Trophy Mage does seems good. There are a lot of cards that could fit into this deck from Aether Revolt. Unfortunately, I haven't updated or played this deck for about a month now since I'm taking a break and focusing on Standard for now. Standard is once again fun.

Dangerwillrobinson79, thanks a lot.

Vinman, great deck name! I'll take a look.

I love your deck, multimedia. I was getting a $250 commander deck with Breya, Etherium Shaper, and your deck seems amazing! I do have a suggestion, though.

This is a combo that can also be (partially) easily to assemble:

Salvaging Station + Flayer Husk + Blasting Station + Any artifact sacrifice outlet.

Basically what you do is sacrifice Flayer Husk germ token to Blasting Station, putting the "do one damage trigger" on the stack. When the germ goes to the graveyard (since it does go there, and then gets removed from the game), it triggers Salvaging Station, putting the "I want to untap" trigger on the stack. While that is on the stack, sacrifice Flayer Husk to some artifact sacrifice outlet. Let that ability resolve (note that Salvaging Station's trigger is still on the stack), putting Flayer Husk into the graveyard. Then, tap Salvaging Station to recur Flayer Husk. Then, let Salvaging Station untap, and then let Blasting Station untap. Then, you can repeat this process over and over again until all your opponents are dead.

Having this combo can easily increase your chance of winning, even though you might not be totally able to assemble the combo.

To see it in action, go here: . Fast forward to about 40:25.

Also, what about Metalworker? Even though it is sitting at $24, it is one of the best ramp cards for artifact decks, and it deserves a spot in your deck.

I really like your list and your description is definitely a big aid for me as well.

I am currently tunning my own Breya list, which you can see below, and all insights are beyond valuable for me to be able to filter through which cards are needed and which can be upgraded.

In your deck a card like Muddle the Mixture could definitely do a lot of work. More than a counterspell, it is an additional way to get something like Nim Deathmantle, Ethersworn Canonist, even Demonic Tutor to get anything else you might want or the next card I'm about to suggest.

Cyclonic Rift is currently at its lowest in a while, and it is a staple in pretty much any blue EDH deck. I strongly recommend its inclusion, and the best time to get a copy is soon really.

Well deserved upvote anyway!

Was Master Transmuter cut due to budget reasons?

SnowSisters, thanks for your interest. First let me explain I haven't played or updated this deck for a while, last time being Dec. 2016. Back at that time I was using a $200 budget for this deck. If I recall I had to choose between using Master Transmuter or Arcum Dagsson due to the budget I couldn't use both. My choice was Arcum because he can tutor for combo pieces.

Thanks everyone for all your interest and kind words about this deck. I haven't played this deck for a long time, last time was Dec. 2016. Unfortunately, I'm sorry for all who are interested, but I'm retiring this deck because I don't intend to update it anymore. The last update was seven months ago. I'll for sure keep it here as is because people are using the detailed description as inspiration which is really great.

This deck is no longer budget which is what I set out to do with Breya because I haven't been keeping up and cutting cards that spike in price. Many sets have come and gone since Breya has been a Commander including Conspiracy, Kaladesh and Amonkhet blocks. These sets may have cards that could be good in this deck, but I haven't taken the time or intend to, to give them a look or test them out.

Commander 2017 is right around the corner and if you're interested I'll most likely be making a budget upgraded version of the Grixis Wizards premade deck once the official decklist has been revealed. Using the same process I started with here which was using the C16 Breya premade as a base.

Hey, nice deck out there! I am running quite similar Breya and am thinking about 80-100$ upgrade. 5 color lands, Muzzio, Visionary Architect, Sneak Atack. Also looking for some fun strategies with Isochron scepter and Sundial of the Infinite to include them in the deck.

I really enjoyed playing and tinkering with this deck. I used it as a baseline and threw in some upgrades, and so far it's done extremely well in my playgroup, and even in some competitive events. So thank you for building it and sharing, it's been great fun to play!

Hey Crazyshak48, that's great you got so much inspiration from this deck :) That's my intention to use this deck as a budget base for Breya which can then be expanded on and upgraded, but is still good as just a base. I love it when budget decks can compete competitively. Very nice upgrades at Etherium Storm I especially like Anointed Procession, so good with Breya, Battlesphere, Sharding and Network.

Thanks multimedia! I definitely agree on Anointed Procession, it's been an outstanding card. I have yet to live the dream of having it and Panharmonicon down at the same, but all in good time :) Also, Grand Architect and Pili-Pala is just funny, that one always throws people for a loop.

Purphoros, God of the Forge and Impact Tremors smash face in this deck.

I also run alot of flicker/blink effects in mine to abuse wonderful ETB's.

I need to get mine up loaded. I built mine thinking Teysa artifacts.

I've made a Graveyard recursion deck with Breya to get some sweet red artifacts and synergy cards. It's a reanimation deck with artifacts as the theme and some recursion tricks.

The budget is 200$ and it's a blast to play this deck!

I normally play a Sydri, Galvanic Genius deck. It seems you have many of the artifact combos I run, but one that's been really good for me I feel is worth slotting is Time Sieve . It easily goes infinite with Thopter Assembly , and with Breya they might mistake it for a value engine as opposed to in

Hey Neodarkside, those are all good cards, all are worth including, especially Emry and Manse for this deck because they're budget cards. Urza, Dockside and Tithe are not budget cards, but are busted with artifacts and if you can afford them then add them.

Been a couple of years since I really looked this deck, but stay tuned for a new updated $200 version. The first budget card I'm adding is Goblin Engineer because of it's instant speed reanimation interaction with Ashnod's Altar , Nim Deathmantle , Pili-Pala and Sculpting Steel . Four combo artifacts especially Altar and Deathmantle since they're the main combo with Breya. Steel is the combo with Sharuum the Hegemon and Engineer can enable and help setup this combo. Engineer also has interaction with Eldrazi Displacer , Goblin Welder and Emry, Lurker of the Loch .

Hey everyone who's still interested, I've brought this deck out of retirement and have updated it with a new $200 budget version. The deck description hasn't been updated yet to match the new version, but I've left it as is until I update it because most of the information still applies to the new version.

I have yet to test this deck, but just reading it make me want to build it, I was about to sell my Alela Artifacts deck because it was not my kind of gameplay, but this, THIS is amazing and I will need a lot of those cards!
