With the release of Dominaria the lord and savior of mono red Godo, Bandit Warlord will be a 1 card combo thanks to his ability to tutor Helm of the Hosts!

Legendary Artifact — Equipment

At the beginning of combat on your turn, create a token that's a copy of equipped creature, except the token isn't legendary if equipped creature is legendary. That token gains haste.

Gameplan

The gameplan here is pretty straight forward cast Godo, find Helm of the Host, equip it, then move to combat and win the game.

The Combo:

When Godo is equiped with Helm of the Hosts at the start of combat Helm will put a NON LEGENDARY token into play with HASTE that is a copy of Godo. Next when we move to declare our attackers, we declare our token as the sole attacker (since we dont want to put our OG Godo into harms way).Then due to the token Godo's effect he will untap himself and produce an additional combat after the current one. When we move to our next combat step Helm of the Hosts will create a new Godo token and we can rinse and repeat, killing our opponents through an infinite onslaught of 3/3s.

One amazing aspect of this combo that some people neglect is that this combo is not vulnerable to creatures with indestructible or first strike. This is beacuse each Godo token will untap itself once after the first time it attacks. Meaning we can store up an arbitrarily large amount of Godos to attack all at once and go wide past there blocks.

Now some naysayers might point out that this is an 11 mana combo (6 for Godo + 5 to equip Helm of the Hosts) and they're not wrong, but there are plenty of ways to circumvent this steep cost.

First of all there are plenty of ways to avoid paying the equip cost all together thanks to cards like Magnetic Theft, Brass Squire and the all star support equipment Hammer of Nazahn.

Beacuse of Hammer of Nazahn is an equipment that means it is tutorable with Godo and is therefore easily abused. By generating 2 Godo triggers in the same turn we can first find Hammer and then Helm which will equip to godo on ETB thanks to Hammer.

The deck has plenty of ways to accomplish this: through cards that actaully double Godo's ETB trigger like Panharmonicon and Strionic Resonator, and through cards that make cheap token copies of Godo like Twinflame, Heat Shimmer, and Flameshadow Conjuring.
