@Bingbongboo Yes everything but GSZ is. So just replace that with a legal card and you're good. And thanks, it took some time to make it consistent. And I take pride in that more than any other aspect of the deck. Go right ahead and use this deck. Let me know how it does :) I can't get out and play much myself so if you make this deck I'd like to follow it if I can.

I love playing with this deck. Fantastic work! way to rock the Naya! It would be fun (for pure nerd reasons) to add Palladia-MorsMTG Card: Palladia-Mors... just to have an elder dragon haha! I may do this when playing against some friends for kicks. ;)

Chord of CallingMTG Card: Chord of Calling is the Modern substitute for GSZ. Tooth and NailMTG Card: Tooth and Nail is effective as well...

This deck is extremely powerful, but after play testing it multiple times I have reached the conclusion that it is too slow. after you wait and wait to play a big creature you still may find that the opponent has a lot of removal stocked up from waiting so long and kills everything you worked so hard to play. To improve the speed I would suggest maybe a some Birds of ParadiseMTG Card: Birds of Paradise or other cheap green cards which produceth any kind of mana.

How long Is it taking you to play big creatures? I'm getting the 7 drops by turn 3 or 4.

Odd. I was repeatedly waiting until about turn 6. Maybe I'm just that unlucky.

It's all luck of the draw really. It's not always quite that fast, but consistently I have plenty of threats out turn 4 to do decently until I can draw into a fatty.

I'd put Cavern of SoulsMTG Card: Cavern of Souls in (naming beast). It still gives you the 1 colorless which you can always use with Knotvine MysticMTG Card: Knotvine Mystic and it will make them un-counterable.

Definitely a nice addition. I'm gonna have to mess with the mana a little to fit it in without warping the whole thing. Shouldn't be too hard

I ended up going 4-2 with a bye, the two losses are from slivers which was super annoying

Not bad not bad at all. And slivers are just too powerful sometimes.

Ps i love the deck my friend bingbongboo has been using it and it has proven to be a formidable force amongst our group.

Bonfire is certainly good with all the ramp but its kind of out of place with its current build. A more control heavy version would definitely benefit from it.

No one has suggested card:Behemoth's Herald?

It has been suggested a lot. I'm not explaining my reasoning again.

I may be wrong but I'm not sure if Cavern of Souls 's uncounterable mana ability works with Knotvine Mystic since it's supposed to be used to cast a creature spell... not use to pay a mana ability and then cast that creature for it to be uncounterable.

June 7, 2012 1:40 a.m.

fairchild says... #23

ah.. i was wrong. it's used WITH Knotvine Mystic not use-in-ability-to-cast.

June 7, 2012 1:41 a.m.

BrokenZygoma says... #24

Yes I would use another mana source to pay the mana ability of Knotvine Mystic

Well, from the name, you're obviously trying to get Godsire out. You've probably heard this, but I didn't see it in the comments and you could easily turn this down with a simple debate, but when I see a deck named "Godsire" I think card:Behemoth's Herald should be in it. You've probably thought of it and decided no on it, but I think it would make things easier
