Well I may only add in another Cavern of Souls and keep 2 Jungle Shrine s for that reason. But as for the Spellbreaker Behemoth , the Idea was that all of my creatures with power 5 or greater are beasts, so why not just replace it with another Cavern of Souls ? then I still have at least 2 counter shields in the deck. I still do love the card though. I'm a bit on the fence just because i like the 5/5 for 4 mana with an awesome ability. Plus the one I own is all blinged out and sexy and I love to look at it. I may just bring it around and set it to the side while I play it just to stare at it lol. And yes, Hunting Grounds is sick but I never found myself playing it. And taking Mayael the Anima out of the sideboard was simply because I never found myself siding her in ever. I usually don't like more than 2 of any legend no matter what it is. Sometimes I'll run 3 but I don't see a need of 3 of her. I often draw the second in the deck and cant play her so Idk. Maybe she'll find her way back in but probably only 1 not 2. I still love Banefire , plain and simple. It's possible that If Bonfire of the Damned is a super star in the sideboard, It could replace the 2 Banefire s, at the cost of a hefty price of course. But Momentous Fall seemed too good to pass up. I tend to empty my hand quick so Momentous Fall ing a Woolly Thoctar refills my hand and can keep me in the game in some cases. And of course, I LOVE LOVE LOVE eldrazi so I've always kept them in mind, but the Beast sub-theme I have going kind of makes me weary of changing up the structure of my power creatures. Also, do you think Elderscale Wurm would make a good substitute for Engulfing Slagwurm ? That would be an easy switch since I was lucky enough to rip one when M13 just released. But thank you for the feedback!

Man a foil Spellbreaker Behemoth is pretty sexy... and for 4 mana makes him a great choice for the Momentous Fall s or even the Natural Order s... However, your logic behind switching him out for Cavern of Souls is sound. hmmm... as a quick aside, what about Vexing Shusher ? its cheap, and can make any spell uncounterable (including Natural Order )... but your original idea is probably best for sticking with the beast theme. Its a tough choice... spellbreaker or cavern of souls... I think because of Momentous Fall and Natural Order I would choose the spellbreaker personally, but that's just me.
You're probably right about Mayael the Anima ... While she helps a lot against counters and things like Gaddock Teeg , the whole legend thing messes with the deck. Bonfire of the Damned and Terminus are great!! I love the idea of playing a 1 mana Terminus , Lotus Cobra for two, then Natural Order to get any one of your creatures back! I know that's just one scenario though.

I mean there's nothing to say that I can't ever throw Spellbreaker Behemoth back in. I don't own any of the cards I want to add yet so I wont have all of them for a while seeing as I don't want to drop almost 200$ at once on those few cards

You might want to consider some more early game removal mainboarded just based on the fact that legacy affinity exists (and other hyper fast aggro decks) swords works but Lightning Bolt exists too and the bolt helps you finish off when your ramp is on point and you get that t4 sire.
I know my modern affinity regularly gets a turn 3-4 lethal from fliers so I know legacy is faster as they have access to the artifact lands.

But Isn't that what the sideboard is for? games 2 and 3? I don't want to rely on main deck control just seeing as this is a creature centered deck. All the cards in the deck are either big fatties, or some form of ramp/mana fixing/tutor (with a few exceptions) so main boarding control would most likely deprive me of the 2 things this deck needs to work. I don't mind cutting some of the top end of the deck for control if I need it in the second 2 games but main boarding it feels to me like it would hurt the deck more than help. Of course this is assuming you think I should throw in enough control that I will consistently have some.

I'm not saying playsets here lol just 2-3 just because hyper fast aggro decks are dime a dozen and some combo decks can be disrupted by a well placed bolt/path. These decks generally win on turn 3-4 with evasion, which is when you're looking to drop your first big fattie. By that time it may just be too late to catch up but with 2-3 removal mainboarded you can efficiently take care of an op's ramp/aggro/combo pieces while still maintaining your ramp.

Thoughts on replacing card:Mayael's Aria? I usually never play it and when I do I'm probably gonna win regardless.

I hate to kick the dead horse, but I'd say a low cost 5/5 to help with Natural Order and Momentous Fall ... like spellbreaker

@BrokenZygoma I thought of you on monday when I saw an Elderscale Wurm in a store for two bucks! Then I went back to this deck, saw that I was the last person to comment on here and it was one month ago. Dang. Anywho, is it a good replacement for Engulfing Slagwurm ? I say absolutely. eating creatures for life is fun, but against a weenie aggro deck you can't gain enough life to stay alive just by blocking and eating. The Elderscale fixes that problem by stopping aggro from killing you long enough to bet your fatties out. After thinking about that, I went back today and bought the card. two bucks right? Anyway, still love this deck, still can't afford the Cavern of Souls yet. :)

I have Godsire in a deck with 2x Parallel Lives . May not be the best for this deck, but super fun.

you could run Where Ancients Tread or Warstorm Surge as a singleton to make all your creatures that much more lethal to play.
also i would suggest Somberwald Sage s to help with your ramp, and maybe a Gilded Lotus or two, it should speed up the deck alot
October 11, 2012 7:41 a.m.
also, you could sneak a Progenitus into the deck since you run Natural Order , if you want to be that guy

In version 1 of this deck I ran Warstorm Surge but I took a more over run strategy for the deck. And since its 3 color the Knotvine Mystic does the job nicely enough.

Uh, don't know what to cut, but cut something for card:Trostani, Selesnya's Voice to populate the 8/8 and gain shit tons of life.

I agree with the Natural Order s! Especially in favor of card:Green Sun's Zenith. Vagrant Plowbeasts is definitely expendable... especially when you have a Spearbreaker Behemoth . Good choices here definitely.
However, I kind of like the Jungle Shrine s. I know they come into play tapped but they help a lot with some important creatures that aren't beasts like Mayael the Anima and Knotvine Mystic which are probably the best choices along side Lotus Cobra for the Natural Order s. However the "non-counterable" aspect of Cavern of Souls is definately attractive. Its a tough decision. I like being able to use Cavern of Souls ' 1 colorless for a Knotvine Mystic 's mana ability. I also like the Spellbreaker Behemoth personally... I think they're helpful and sometimes easier to cast than a Woolly Thoctar if you're missing a plains or something. Not too many cheap creatures here so I'm not sure abandoning the spellbreaker is the best move.
The sideboard, though, is the best yet. While it is an amazing card, Hunting Grounds just didn't get much use so I agree with taking it out. I'm also happy to see the Momentous Fall s back in. The life and draw are so nice against aggro... Siding in more Mayael I think is nice, especially against counters, so I'm not convinced about taking those out. I'm still not convinced with Banefire . Its a nice alternate win for sure... I'm just on the fence on whether its the best. sinking your mana like that can leave you with no options if, say, they have a Mindbreak Trap or you just don't have the mana for the kill. As an alternative, using Mayael to get a Emrakul, the Aeons Torn or another eldrazi with annihilate might be better to eliminate lock combos and open the way for Godsire . Thats just one idea though.
Overall I like where you are going with these changes! I'll think more on them for sure. Well done!
