A rather cut-and-dry Golgari Zombies deck, with a personal twist.
Seeing as everyone who is running Zombies these days is pretty much running this list, I think it's safe to say at this point that this is my own deck.
I had originally left out the Diregraf Ghouls in favor of removal, but after some playtesting, I discovered that I really almost never want there to be a turn that I am not playing creatures unless I really have to, so the ghouls are back in after thaking out the Dead Weights. I also have a singleton of Deathrite Shaman here, because he is (in my opinion) probably one of the most efficient "mana-dork-that-isn't-a-mana-dork" cards I've ever gotten to play with, and he absolutely shines against control, which is why there's another copy in the sideboard.
As to the sideboard, everything has it's place (at least in my meta): Thragtusk is for the mirror or against other control decks using him, as is the Desecration Demon. Duress is a pretty standard hand-peeking card, and I like it a lot better than Appetite for Brains. The thing is, Appetite doesn't grab things like Lilliana of the Veil or Sphinx's Revelation, both of which absolutely murder this deck. The Knight of Infamys haven't seen much use since he's mostly a stopgap against white aggro decks, but he's there when I need him.
As to a card that I haven't had the opportunity to test, I would really like to try this deck with Garruk Relentless, as it seems like he'd be good for both the short game and the long game. The deck doesfine without him for now, so I'm not too worried about it.
