Also, no Primordial Hydra (s)?

Bnon I have been playing with the land, and actually, thanks to Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx , Elvish Mystic and Sylvan Caryatid 20 is actually doable. The deck can function with as little as 3 land and achieve turn 5 or 6 lethal as long as ramp is drawn.

Caligula Unfortunately, Primordial Hydra is not Standard legal at the moment or he would absolutely be in there :)

I think final alteration to mainboard.

Dropped Slitherhead Dropped to 2x Bioshift Added back 3x Scavenging Ooze Added 2x Forest to round out to 22 Land to prevent potential mana screw.

Caligula Its all good lol, As I said this deck will not be dismantled come Rotation, it will cycle to Modern format, so its good to get these ideas going now :)

Haha, Well when you do cycle it to modern Prime Times (Primeval Titan ) are always a good time with Hydras :P

Thanks everyone for the suggestions! Placed 2nd/14 went 3-12/0 2/0 2/0 1/2

Lost in the finals to a mono-blue devotion deck running VERY Heavy control, Thassa, God of the Sea Master of Waves and silly things like Claustrophobia to keep my Kalonian Hydra 's tapped down.

My sideboard was still weak and could not find answers, also got bad draw 2/3 games, zero ramp, game 3 mully'd to 5....

Here's for shooting for first next week!

Again, please continue to play test and provide feedback, it is much appreciated!

My playtest This is a strong deck I won the first one pretty quickly, the second one I dropped the menace down following up with a brutal kalhonian hydra the rest is historyThe next match it took a long lime but I had a fleece mane monstroused and 3 unflinching courages attached if it weren't for two top deck selesneya charm you would of killed me but I exiled your hydras and swung for game the next turn

Yeah a very Agrro Naya Hexproof can sometimes give me issues if it is very control heavy and able to get rolling faster then me.

Typically will side in for hand destruction to slow it down, Thoughtseize , Lifebane Zombie and Duress makes for a bit of a longer game, but offers some form of safety.

Thanks for the feedback and the playtest!

Made some changes to the mainboard, Dropped Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord for Nylea, God of the Hunt

Some other Shuffling to ensure 4x Bioshift as it was a major reason why I did as well as I did @ FNM

Really want to find a way to fit Vastwood Hydra in here. I know he is terrible in most situations but I am thinking along the lines of a Corpsejack Menace in Play, drop a Vastwood at say GG3 so it hits for 3, doubles to 6, then Abrupt Decay or [[varaska the unseen]] to blow up the Vastwood, place the counters anywhere else, doubled by the Corpsejack. So get to move place 12 +1/+1's for GG3. Thoughts?

Going to use the left overs for a Golgari Dredge Deck! Stay Tuned!

That sounds awesome

xGhostx says... #14

Yeah it would be nice.... but trying not to stall the deck by adding to many combo's. Not sure what I would, or if I could drop anything for Vastwood Hydra

An interesting idea would be to add blue and then a Vorel of the Hull Clade which would be great in this deck also it would help with bio shift also you could add Give / Take

June 22, 2014 12:23 p.m.

xGhostx says... #16

Drop the 4x Scavenging Ooze , the 2x Vraska the Unseen and 2x Mutavault 2x Swamp

Add 3x Vorel of the Hull Clade 3x Prophet of Kruphix

And either 4x Temple of Deceit or 4x Temple of Mystery .

Not sure how well that would work..... Been nurned by Tri-Color to many times!

I think if you have the cards to do it I would say go for it but if you don't I would keep it this way

xGhostx says... #21

I have the option to run the BUG version, I may just keep the cards set aside to swap when I get bored.

Never thought of the Hunter, good call. I think I have a playset. They could easily replace the ScOoze's Curve the mana up a bit, but would get much larger much faster.

Yeah I remembered looking at a red green devotion and that was a recommended card and I thought of this
