Pauper BG Aristocrats!

Since Mortician Beetle got downshift to common, I've been wanting to fit it into a list. When Amonkhet released, I read a lot of people saying there wasn't room for this guy, and I don't think that's true. There are plenty of synergy cards to make this guy work, so here's my take on making it happen.

Carrion Feeder is still our sac outlet and main threat, but now he's got Mortician Beetle doubling the value of our sacrifices and giving us a big blocker. We have to keep the board well-stocked with creatures, so we have plenty of token generators and recursion to make sure we're not dead in the water. Young Wolf is hard to get rid of and no opponent wants to get rid of Brindle Shoat. Nest Invader, and Blisterpod drop more tokens for us that can be sacrificed on their own, and Khalni Garden comes in with a body. If something goes down unexpectedly, we can Unearth it right back. We want to play off morbid triggers; Hunger of the Howlpack can give us 4 counters in a turn for a single mana, and Tragic Slip clears out any big creature. Since we have so much to sacrifice, these shouldn't be hard to land. We have extra draw speed for the cost of a few life in Night's Whisper to help us grab pieces. Once our creatures get huge, they're not really scary until we give them trample, so a set of Fists of Ironwood works great.

A lot of decks run Rite of Consumption, but I picked Essence Harvest here. Our average CMC is still super low, so for 1 extra mana we get to retain a huge creature. Additionally, our creatures won't be huge by turn 2, so there's no point setting off a 2-drop bomb with a weak payoff, and our board state should be stronger by turn 3 when we can cast Essence Harvest anyway. I still have plenty of playtesting to do so we'll see if this stays.

Obviously, a lot of green decks run Rancor because everything about it is fantastic. My argument here is that instead, when we have a sac engine in play, it turns into "this creature gains trample, and all of your sacrifice and morbid triggers go crazy". Effectively if we put this on a Carrion Feeder with a Mortician Beetle in play, we gets 4 +1/+1 counters, a morbid trigger, and a bigger creature that can trample. We forfeit Rancor's graveyard effect in exchange. It may not be worth it, but it is an easy fix if this build doesn't work out.

Any feedback is appreciated! Thanks for checking this out!
