Nice man I built a deck really similar to this for my competitive fnm, would you say death rite works better than dreg, I found I used dreg quite a lot and it really helped out

Initially I did like the Dreg Mangler especially as an early aggressive start but it quickly fell off and was used for chump blocking. I did like the thought of having the option to scavenge it as well from the graveyard, even though I rarely did.
Deathrite Shaman just does so much more being a mana accelerant, a small health booster, and most of the time using whatever free mana you have to deal 2 damage to them. Overall, the shaman does do more since it doesn't need to attack to deal damage.

Sounds like u should be packing some Pithing Needle s on your SB specifically for control. Shuts down both Elspeth, Sun's Champion and AEtherling .

I've definitely considered it but so far I've been pretty good on the matchup as long as I play around their many forms of removal. If I were to pack a Pithing Needle s, I would probably trade out Mistcutter Hydra s for one or two. The problem with non creature non enchantment cards is that they usually end up in my graveyard from Commune with the Gods , Grisly Salvage , or Drown in Filth . I like to keep the synergy going even after sideboarding hence why most of my sideboard is creatures/enchantments, it's already hard enough getting 1 of my 3 Golgari Charm .

Well, I only said that cause "The biggest problem was against Control decks. In the tournament, I lost to 2/3 of the control decks I played. 1-2 to Esper, 1-2 to American, and 2-1 to UW. If they were able to stall out long enough for an Elspeth, Sun's Champion or a AEtherling ".
I certainly wouldn't cut Mistcutter Hydra for Pithing Needle because u will most likely need them both for the same match up. Hydra is a creature that will stick until they can overload Cyclonic Rift and Pithing Needle answers their biggest threats.
That being said, I understand wanting to keep synergy and being able to actually find ur answers instead of Salvaging/Communing them away makes a difference.
I run a similar deck. It's rock and fully utilizes the graveyard the same way. Except instead of 8x Grisly Salvage I run 4 and SB 2 copies of Underworld Connections for back up. Would love it if u would check it out: 50 #'s of Grade A Beef -Golgari- Standard
I must say, I love how you turn Drown in Filth into highly effective removal.

1 question, how often did u need to mulligan due to insufficient mana in your opening hand?

I mulligan quite often, but not because of the colors but because of 1 landers or no landers. I mostly keep 2 landers so long as one is green.
I had pretty good luck at SCG Oakland, only mulliganed around 4-5 times the entire day.

I run quite a very similar deck if you want to check it out Theros Golgari (Self Mill), however I run Bow of Nylea and 22 lands. Seeing as your deck is almost exact same I cant say I don'e like it. :D +1
