its been doing alright, definitely not among my strongest decks, but it has a pretty wide array of tricks. in weeks and months past, the Disciple of Bolas had been packing a bunch, but in recent rounds of testing the general pace of things is picking up to the point where he's probably next to the chopping block. the 4x mainboard Golgari Charm has been the main introduction for this round and it has been AWESOME. i cant believe I never realized how good a card it was. i guess its just about how some cards dont really come into their own until the pace of play starts getting pretty intense. im not too worried about the shaman banning issue, its only a 1x so its not like its fundamental to the strategy, and this deck is clearly a bit off from being very 'competitive'. its more about the fact that i cracked one and i like it and want to have fun with it.

yea, its budget, doubt i will have any catacombs to run until return to zendikar next fall :(
im about finished with my december round of testing and ive got a few ideas to improve this build, ill tag you in the notes when the repot/rebuild is up.

Maelstrom Pulse or Abrupt Decay would work better than Putrefy
The first is a sorcery, but Its a larger variety removal for the same cost, and it can take care of more than one card at a time.
The second is limited to 3 or less mana cost, but for 2 mana, it too has a wider variety of removal. AND it can't be countered.
The cards obviously cost more though.

yea totally agree, just dont have any of those at this point. this build hasn't been too impressive this summer in general though. need to gather some more data and try to figure out which way to go with it.
