An attempt to make a Golos deck with a couple win cons. Obviously, there's Field of the Dead to overrun opponents with zombos. Then there's Maze's End as a potential insta-win on turns 7-10 (or later). Then there's Emrakul, the Promised End . This is a card I haven't seen other Golos decks run and I figured since we're not worried about mana at all, Emrakul might work. We have a health number of card types to feed him as well. Finally, there's Approach of the Second Sun . I didn't play much standard during Amonkhet, so once I laid eyes on this card I just knew I had to try it.

Other supporting cards I don't see as often in Golos Field decks: Elixir of Immortality . As someone who enjoys playing control, this is one of my favorite cards. If our win cons end up in our graveyard somehow, or if we're just running low on life and resources, this card keeps us going potentially indefinitely. The Immortal Sun shuts down mid- to late-game planeswalker strategies, draws us cards, and pumps or zombo army. Hour of Promise . Many people are opting to run Circuitous Route instead because it's cheaper and still helps with the gates strategy. Hour of Promise lets you look for two lands of your choice, so if you need another Field of the Dead and a Castle Vantress , you can get both of those. Even without desert lands, this card is powerful.

Side and maybeboards: Sideboard is pretty straightforward and needs some work. Added a couple boardwipes, counterspells, removal, and graveyard hate in the form of Ashiok. I'm considering running Teferi, Hero of Dominaria as yet another win con-esque card since his ultimate can be brutal if we get our Guild Summit engine going. Anyway, I'll be play testing and seeing if my deck is too jank and tries to do too much. Let me know if you have some suggestions!
