Does Amulet of Vigor actually do anything super busted for you? I noticed you took out a lot of the basic land ramp which typically is a heavy source of taplands. Your mana base here is pretty optimized with a small amount of taplands so I'm not sure what the amulet is doing beyond maybe a tiny amount of faster lands. Sure it's neat with Scapeshift but most things are.

Phaetion I'm not the biggest fan of Aggressive Mining, I think the "once a turn" clause is what keeps it from being great. Playing lands is a big part of your build and taking that away is probably not worth the 2 cards a turn most of the time. Horn of Greed is a tough call for me, I hate giving my opponents the opportunity to draw cards but if you're able to abuse it and win shortly after then I'd say it's a keeper. How has Seismic Assault been? I've definitely considered it but being triple red and not-so-great early game I decided to leave it out. Might give it a shot. Nesting Dragon doesn't impress me but I haven't tried it out yet either. I know Gaea's Blessing is a combo piece but I can't help but think of all the times you'll mill it and screw everything up, especially since you're running lots of dredge. Also since you're running Amulet of Vigor, I think the bouncelands like Gruul Turf are even better.

KongMing: I'm surprised as well, and yes, that name and art was perfect. I never read the book, so it was fun picking out quotes online and using them for the primer. Thank you so much again. :D

DaMaster545: You raise a good point. I never drew into the Amulet though, but I can slot a 1-drop instead and test it.

BaceJeleren: As much as I can see the error in adding Aggressive Mining, I'm hesitant on removing 4-drops outside of another one because it messes up my curve. Horn of Greed has been great. We'll get more out of it than our opponents will and now Nissa, Vital Force is gone, it has to stay there. Seismic Assault works with Borborygmos Enraged (who also works with The Gitrog Monster. Fun fact) but in a pinch, it can act as removal.

Gaea's Blessing, I agree with. It's arguably the weakest card in the deck. I might remove it if it does screw me over. Nesting Dragon has been ok. It's nice wrath insurance should the eggs kick the bucket, and a good way to recover.

If we want to tool box a little more, how about Glacial Chasm and Maze of Ith

If you only use Gaea's Blessing for the traditional The Gitrog Monster combo, you are better off running an original Eldrazi Titan. They aren’t dead draws in a lands deck because you can actually afford them late game but they still combo off with frog boi like you want them too. A lot of Gitrog lists run both because blessing can often protect the titan, but a more goodstuff deck such as this one, including one would be enough just to make the combo possible.

Also while I happen to be here, I feel like not including Crop Rotation is a crime. It is such a powerful card with a lot of applications. Most people overlook the instant speed.

Need a landfall trigger? Crop Rotate! And upgrade that basic forest while you're at it. Need a land in the yard for Lord Windgrace or The Gitrog Monster? Crop Rotate!

Need a specific land, maybe Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth or Cabal Coffers? Crop Rotate!

Someone swinging in with their Craterhoof Behemoth? Crop Rotate in Glacial Chasm and watch them cry.

Someone targeting something in their graveyard for value? Crop Rotate into Bojuka Bog and watch them get salty.

You can even pump a creature you are swinging with in response to blocks with Kessig Wolf Run, the list can go on forever if you run a decent amount of utility lands, something a lands decks certainly should.

DaMaster545: I'm trying to include it. In fact, I'll cut the Amulet for it.

I’d recommend Strip Mine and Amulet of Vigor

Sterling0528: I just removed the Amulet for not doing much and I'm avoiding Strip Mine to not be that guy. Wasteland is in its place instead.

How about Rain of Filth?

Phaetion says... #11

Nembrothor: Rain of Filth isn't a bad suggestion. I'm already running Squandered Resources, so it would provide a little redundancy. I'll consider it. Thanks.

Deathrite Shaman would be a good addition

You could perhaps run snow covered lands. In favor of regular basic land and play Sunstone as another Constant Mistsof course there is Glacial Crevasses as well but isnt that good in three colors

griffstick: Perhaps one day I'll venture into that territory, but right now I don't have the deck built irl (I'm just having too much fun with the enchantresses), but if you got them, go for it.

Oh and some other thing,i dont see the craterhoof in the list about wich tour talking in the Description. And could You Maybe explain the infinite mwna combo in more detail?thanks

August 31, 2018 5:37 a.m.

Phaetion says... #18

guidoc93: I was saying you didn't need Craterhoof.

The combo goes like this:

You have Frog Lord and the Familiar out. You use the familiar to pitch the salvage for a . When you would draw a card, you'd use the salvage's dredge instead. As long as you keep milling the blessing, you have infinite black mana.

August 31, 2018 8:42 a.m.

guidoc93 says... #19

But as long as You keep Milling blessing... Oké but that's very incertain with a fulltime library right?

August 31, 2018 12:28 p.m.

Phaetion says... #20

guidoc93: True, and you ca keep that loop going as long as the frog and the familiar are in play. However, in my testing, I kept drawing into it before I can pull off the combo, making it all but dead. The card was also weak on it own, so you can see I cut the combo out. I also fixed the description with the links to each of the cards, if it helps.

Have you looked at Overlaid Terrain?

October 4, 2018 3:23 p.m.

Phaetion says... #23

KayneMarco: It's a high risk, high reward card. It'll need some setting up, and a reliable way to recur all the lands you sacrifice. Do that, and it'd be worth the risk. Windgrace alone can't do it, since he'd recur 2-4 at most before being sent back to the command zone. Too risky for my tastes, to be honest.

October 4, 2018 6:16 p.m.

KayneMarco says... #24

That’s why I run it with crucible of worlds and ramunap excavator

October 4, 2018 6:46 p.m.

Phaetion says... #25

KayneMarco: Indeed. Those are obvious synergies. Titania, Protector of Argoth is another one. Squandered Resources does a similar thing, and you have more control over which lands go to the graveyard. The Terrain doesn't grant that luxury. The mana doubling is nice, but I wish there was more control over what lands you sacrifice rather than all of them.
