Maybeboard

Currency Converter lets you turn one currency - discarded cards - into another one entirely... namely, hired goons! Any sort of looting effect lets you put your discarded card on a temporary hiatus to score you a 2/2 for essentially free. Nice! You can't flood the board with a wheel effect, but being able to secure one on most turns should provide a real mess.

Now what does one do with a small army of turtleneck-clad henchmen? Sure, you can send them into combat, but the evil geniuses among us know that there are more inventive ways to put them to work. Such as piloting a dastardly flying machine, a la Smuggler's Copter. You swing for 3 in the air, and hey presto, you can discard a card to make another goon! Not villainous enough? There is perhaps no contraption as dastardly as the Mighty Servant of Leuk-o, which needs two henchmen to power it but can swing for six and result in some mad card advantage.

Generally we're hoping for some hired muscle from the Currency Converter, but ramping with treasure is good, too. Marionette Apprentice, on the mad science side of things, ensures either result chips at your foe's life total. Decadent Dragon is brawnier than your average hired tough, and also gives you more disposable income. Dockside Chef gives you a use for excess minions or unneeded treasures, digging into what you really need.
