The core of this deck, of course, is the humble defender - odd, right? I didn't want to enter the world of Commander with a deck like everyone else, and like every other cash-strapped player, I sought to make the best of the situation.

Even if there are only ten or so defenders in this deck, it still leaves plenty of options for the usual infinite plays - Overgrown Battlements and Axebane Guardian give opportunities for infinite mana.
