Treefolk is probably my favorite deck I own. They have such good synergy. can go off really quickly and it's fun to crush someones hopes and dreams with trees.
Card breakdowns
Bosk Banneret
- Treefolk that makes all your other treefolk spells cheaper including
Lignify
. I love him in my opening hand.
Dauntless Dourbark - Basically the wincon. It's not uncommon for him to be swinging for 11-12 dmg each game. Absolutely insane.
Leaf-Crowned Elder - Such a good card. Who doesn't love free creatures. Plus multiple Leaf-Crowned Elder ability stack. Good stats to boot.
Dungrove Elder - This guy is normally my go to blocker since they can't remove him and he normally gets quite big over the course of the game.
Timber Protector
- This guy is really the icing on the treefolk cake. Massive indestructible trample Dauntless Dourbark. Nuff' said.
Treefolk Harbinger - Excellent turn 1 drop. You can search for any treefolk/lignify/forest. Great utility and a nice 0/3 blocker. And if Leaf-Crowned Elder kinship brings Treefolk Harbinger onto the field you get to basically pick what you draw that turn due to her ability resolving before your draw
Wickerbough Elder - I decided to run another treefolk instead of the
Naturalize
since he could be potentially played for free due to Leaf-Crowned Elder and he is another body to beef up Dauntless Dourbark.
Utility
Lignify
- Probably one of my favorite magic cards ever. Your oppenant have a huge 9/9 flying trample demon? Nope. Just a 0/4 treefolk with no abilities. Plus their reaction to having their shit turned into a tree is priceless.
Primal Rage - Still testing this card. With the Dungrove Elder and
Timber Protector
it is nice to have more trample in case your Dauntless Dourbarks meet an unfortunate end.
Vines of Vastwood - Great utility and +4/+4 has won me games.
Cultivate - for the ramp and also to make your treefolk bigger.
Rampant Growth - Also for ramp and bigger trees.
