Because sometimes, you just really need a good riot!

It's insanely satisfying to just dump creatures from your hand onto the field without paying for them; More satisfying than say, an Animar deck.... It somehow seems like you worked harder to "Get there".

In order to live the dream, we need to get Rakdos, Lord of Riots into play, and in order to do THAT, we need to deal damage to opponents on our turn.

I figured the best was to achieve this goal was to include pingers, lands that deal damage, and as many enchantments as possible that deal damage on my upkeep. People aren't ever prepared enough for enchantments, so it's really not that hard to get 3-6 damage happening on upkeep, and thus our commander in play.

Not having really seen or played a Rakdos deck before, I figured that high-CMC, coloured, goodstuff, Artifact Creatures and Eldrazi were the way to go. The bigger, the better.

It seems that *most* people go the Artifact Creature route when building Rakdos, but the way I see it, why spew 4/4's when you can spew 12/12's?

I used the 8x8 method (http://the8x8theory.tumblr.com/) to flesh out the deck, making sure I had enough of each type of effect that I knew the deck would rely upon included in my list, and have so far been quite impressed with how the deck is performing.
