No problem! I do see what you're saying about the pws, but I agree that Vial Smasher the Fierce and Fiery Confluence are a must pick for this deck. Now what to take out for them is where it will be difficult.

savagetrooper, Added. What do you think now?

Looks great. I actually really like the Whip of Erebos, Sanctum of Ugin, and Walking Ballista additions as well. Looks very solid.

I know somebody suggested Yawgmoth's Will, but may I add that Magus of the Will is vastly cheaper and can be used on other people turns with Vedalken Orrery?

Magus of the Will telegraphs your play though. Interesting suggestion though, I'll test it out.

I think yawgmoth is a much better option than that. The other one has to stick for a whole round of turns.

Agreed. Still an interesting suggestion.

I think some other perfect additions would be Necropotence, Rise of the Dark Realms, and Myojin of Night's Reach. All three of these cards drastically put the match in your favor. I feel they definitely belong here in this deck, especially since we wouldn't mind havin our biggies in the graveyard to reanimate anyway.

Ever thought about Curse of the Pierced Heart with rakdos? Looks awesome!

I don't think I've ever won a game of EDH via combat damage but this deck just blows my mind. I must have it! Looks super fun and also in my playgroup no one would see it coming from me hehe.

If I were you, I would cut Rakdos Carnarium for almost anything, maybe Temple of Malice. It is just so bad and awful when someone smiling at the other end of the table drops a Strip Mine and essentially blows up 2 lands with it.

My meta doesn't run a ton of land hate, so Carnarium is usually safe. That said, you're right of course. Thanks for the compliment. Last night I took out a single opponent with 40 combat damage in 1 turn. Immensely satisfying.

+1, I'm working on a Rakdos deck myself and taking inspiration from this and a few other decks. Mine is focusing on the damage every turn, of course, in addition to some 8-rack strategies, or at least that's the goal. Do you mind if I copy this deck and try to make it more budget friendly? Credits will be given of course.

Go for it JDegenerate! I'd love to see what you come up with.

This deck is awesome!!! Have you looked at Harsh Mentor? I don't know how effective it would be because most of the damage would probably be on your opponents turns, but it seems like it would fit pretty well. Also, Burning Anger on one of your eldrazi or even on Rakdos equals fun, easy damage. Cool deck +1

Question, does rakdos' ability decrease the cost of things like Eldrazi Conscription? Or All Is Dust? Bc those seem kinda bad if they don't.

No it doesn't, but they are fun cards and I don't mind paying for them

Were there any cards from Ixalan block that anyone would recommend for this?

Angrath, the Flame-Chained for certain; that +1 seems perfect for Rakdos. Dire Fleet Ravager, Angrath's Marauders and Twilight Prophet also seem pretty good for this deck, while Etali, Primal Storm and The Immortal Sun are just really solid Commander cards in general.

Surprised you don't have Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx in the deck. Seems to be great here as you can get a lot of devotion fairly easily in this deck.

Anyone have any new suggestions for this deck? I feel like it needs an update.

The new Archfiend of Despair looks like a must have. I personally really like Chandra, Torch of Defiancetoo.

On a personal note, I love Heir of Falkenrath  Flip because shes and early flyer that almost always activates Rakdos being cast, and it helps load of the big fellas into the yard so you can cheat into play.

Maybe Coffin Queen...? Oldie but a goodie
