First Day main event Sealed Deck at Grand Prix Montreal 2018

Even though I opened Vraska and has a couple good Golgari cards, I felt the Golgari deck I could build would be slow and mediocre. Izzet would have been a more viable choice, but I didn't know how good the blue cards I had were until later in the day (playing against them).

I finally opted for a Boros deck, in large part because I had so much removal. After playing with the deck a lot (9 matches) I learned the construction mistakes I did - Collar the Culprit and City-wide Bust should have been sideboard cards, to be replaced by Erratic Cyclops (good blocker against aggro and good surprise attacker when combined with Command the Storm for example), Command the Storm (more costly then Collar the Culprit but more flexible against annoying small creatures) and Cosmotronic Wave (slendid finisher and deadly against tokens/aggro). Risk Factor was an unknown value to me at construction but quickly proved to be very powerful in an efficient aggro deck.

All the other cards in my pool are added under Maybeboard.

Went 6-3 with the deck in the first day.

Losses were against Izzet (was one attack away from victory, I bundled it because of the stress of a judge looming over me and not much time remaining combined with an aggressive opponent), Izzet (could not push enough damage and once he got Niv-Mizzet out I didn't get any removal) and Dimir (got a loss for being late and then Thief of Sanity single handledly killed me the second game by milling (and also on the third we played for fun so I at least didn't feel so bad).

Final ranking at the GP was 10-5
