Sideboard

After testing out G/R energy deserts and concluding it wan't going to work because deserts really are garbage (I wanted to believe), this is the end result of taking that deck, cutting out all the successful elements, and fitting it into a Pummeler shell. The idea is to quickly overwhelm opponents with whatever tools happen to drop into your hand, and every creature except servant of the conduit can accomplish this. Bristling Hydra is bristling hydra, Pummeler is pummeler, Cub is cub, Voltaic is voltaic. Again, the core idea is to not just run the Pummeler shell for a huge threat, but also be able to use every card as an advantage that keeps building. Cub, Hydra, and Pummeler all have the potential to take the game left unchecked and aided by a couple of pump spells, and Rhonas can keep supplying pumps when we run out as well as be a beater. It's worth noting that with every single creature, even the mana dork, Rhonas can pump himself into the game and become another attacker. The game plan is really simple, and that's why I chose this over Temur Energy, even though Temur Energy is probably a better deck. Can't resist breaking out the pumps spells and smashing face. Cartouche of Zeal is an addition that many Pummeler lists don't include, but I think it can do a lot of work. It can give haste to small guys like Cub and voltaic as well as ensure that some of our big hitters don't get some of their damage taken away. It can clutch games.

Rhonas the Indomitable is here at three not just because I love him, but because he does a lot of work. On top of all the ridiculous pump spells, Rhonas can also give us that utility, albeit a little costlier. Rhonas is also a big deathtouch indestructible beater that goes online through pretty much any creature in the deck, but at his absolute worst he's a 3 mana reusable pump spell.

Sideboard:

Tireless Tracker and Chandra are both here for the grinder match ups where we can't go full balls to the wall aggro. Tracker can become huge himself while drawing us cards, and Chandra is Chandra. Prowling Serpopard absolutely shuts down counterspells and control's game plan. Lathnu Hellion makes an appearance in order to pressure Liliana of the Veil and other Planeswalkers. Abrade covers vehicles and is a nice utility spell, while also serving alongside magma spray for the zombies matchup.
