Grand Arbiter Augistin IV~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~I made this deck to just be a troll to my buddies in EDH.Here are some of the combos and scary things in the deck.
Combo #1: Guile + DovescapeThis combo is sweet. You have guile out so that if something is countered by you, instead of putting that spell you countered to the graveyard, you remove it from the game and can play it without paying the manacost. This is where Dovescape has a bit of fun. Dovescape counters all noncreature spells and gives them a couple of doves. Cute. But when you have guile out and they cast some sort of noncreature spell, your Dovescape counters it and you remove the spell from the game due to Guile. This means you can cast this noncreature spell over and over again due to it getting countered constantly. This also means infinite doves for you.
Combo #2: Godhead of Awe + Elesh NornThis combo is extremely control. It locks down all other players creatures except for yours. Godhead makes all other creatures 1/1's and Elesh Norn gives +2/+2 to all your creatures and -2/-2 to all your opponents creatures. Since all the opponents creatures are 1/1's they all die.
Combo #3: Magus of the Tabernacle + Linvala, Keeper of SilenceAnother combo that shuts down creatures. Magus of the Tabernacle gives every creature the ability where the controller must pay 1 colorless mana or else you must sacrifice the creature. Since Linvala is out, your opponents can't pay this since it is an activated ability. Therefore all of your opponents creatures die.
Combo #4: Enchanted Evening + OpalescenceEnchanted Evening will make all permanents into enchantments. Opalescence will make all enchantments into creatures with power and toughness equal to the converted mana cost of the enchantment. All lands have no converted mana cost, they all die. Also if you have Godhead of Awe and Elesh Norn on the battlefield while this crazy stuff is happening, it would be a global boardwipe for everyone... except you :D
Greasy things that players can't cope with!
1: Stasis. This card is the pinnacle of all blue control. This card completely shuts down all of the players and makes the game a pain in the ass for everyone. To get yourself around stasis is a bit tricky. I added Isochron scepter and reset to help me out. If I can imprint reset on the scepter then I can leave some open mana and on the end of a players turn, pay 2 colorless and use isochron to untap all my lands with reset! Another great way to get around it is using vedelken mastermind on your opponents turn to bring stasis to your hand so then you can go about laying your own things then dropping stasis again and leaving one mana open for the mastermind.
2: Humility. This card really speaks for itself. It makes all creatures lose their abilities and become 1/1's. How humiliating!
This can screw yourself up as well. You can no longer depend on your juicy creatures and begin to focus all your thought on getting enchantments out. If you can get out reverence, nobody can swing at you and then you are safe.
3: Mana Web. Hmmm... Looks like you somehow got around stasis and a ton of other things that make you not be able to untap stuff. I'd really hate to see you tap one land to do something and end up tapping all your lands by doing so :(
4: Enduring Ideal. Alright. Lay this card and you will win. Enough said.
This deck will make each and every opponent want to shred their cards to pieces.
If anyone out there has any comments or suggestions, feel free to throw them my way! :D
Hope you all enjoyed! Sorry for the rants about cards... I get a little excited at times.
