so i think that Pentavus is much better than Myr Battlesphere
the pentavites have flying so that isnt an issue and you can block then sack them so you pretty much have an infinite number of flying blockers

With Phyrexia's Core in there, I'd stick a Spine of Ish Sah in there too :)
+1 for an amazingly cool deck.

Deck is turning great. I made a similar deck but ran Spine of Ish Sah with the card:Phyrexia's Core as a sideboard option. It's really easy to put it out twice a turn mid to late game with GA and Caged Sun to get rid of key components on your opponents side of the field.
It's good to have a lot of the things ppl suggested but some of the suggestions take away from the heavy pressure this deck puts on the opponent.
I like Myr Battlesphere over Pentavus because I feel pent is more of a defensive option. and if you have to use more than 2 or 3, pent becomes vunerable to burn spells or Dismember and then it's gone. At least battlesphere has the high health and offensive options.
But I do like Pentavus over Thopter Assembly . It's better at defending against flyers. Esepcially since the addition of Caged Sun giving you more mana and GA making it easier to abuse Pent's abilities.
I think probes and ponder is good enough draw. With only 2 card:Phyrexia's Core it's a little hard to make full use of Ichor Wellspring . I put Mana Leak and Cancel or Stoic Rebuttal or Negate . Countering spells also serves as a good defense and if you see their hand with a probe, you can know what you need to counter. just my opinion and playstyle though.
Sorry long comment but +1 for awesome deck!

card:Jace's Archivist has magical chemistry with Buried Ruin .
If I don't like my hand minus an artifact I have, I can cycle through them and just bring it back with the ruin, while getting a fresh hand to beat with. Very excited for this new direction the deck is taking.

Hopefully you can give a comment on the deck.
Thank you!

I wonder how a Molten-Tail Masticore would do replacing a Phantasmal Dragon ?

Definitely liking the new twist to the deck. Suggestion though, how about playing [Jaces Erasure] in conjunction with [jaces archivist]?

@MP =( Sad panda
@Urza I can try that tomorrow and playtest it.
You need double brackets! [ [
I don't really want this to be a mill deck, it would be taking up a creature spot which I don't really want to happen.

I would look at Adaptive Automaton again because of his versatility. Making him a Myr, Thopter, or even a Wurm is really good in different situations.

I had a similar thought, although I believe it was snarkier.

What would it take from this deck to get you to +1 it quiver. I need to make this the #1 rated deck.
ILLUSION COLLUSION FTW! AMIRITE?

I was actually thinking about building something very similar to this. And I actually came up with the same name haha...I think Frost breath is an amazing fit here. especially with a large aggro meta game

How do you like Molten-Tail Masticore ? I've found it difficult to assess without actually playing it in a game, and with only 1 copy, but it seems like it could be really good...
Playtesting it a few times, I think it's awesome if you have a few creatures in the graveyard and you just bring it out for a turn or two, long enough to slap your opponent for 12 points...then let it die

Molten-Tail is definitely a good fit in certain situations. I'll leave it in for now.

With card:Jace's Archivist in the deck, finding land and Xenograft is a lot easier to do so I am gonna toss it in to see how that goes. Molten-Tail Masticore will get some sideboard love.

I've been following your deck since about 50 votes.
I fused the idea of illusions into my pre-existing UW Grand Architect deck. Take a look if you don't mind, Uw Grand Illusion
How is the card:Phyrexia's Core combo working for you? I am still on the fence about its actually usefulness when compared to an augury owl.
