Objection sustained. Will the council please rephrase the question?
July 4, 2011 11:35 p.m.
@Corwin What are you talking about?! deck:numbers-game Wiped you 5 times before you were able to actually kill life. FAST decks will murder this deck. Hence, the fetch lands are sooo good against this deck.
July 5, 2011 1:34 a.m.
T1: Mountain , Goblin Guide 20-18
T2: Arid Mesa , Mountain , fetch another Mountain , Goblin Bushwhacker 19-13
T3: Smoldering Spires for any body, 2 Mountain Goblin Wardriver , Goblin Guide + Goblin Bushwhacker add, Memnite 19-10
T4: Scalding Tarn , fetch another Mountain , Goblin Chieftain and Lightning Bolt for any defending creature. All rush, 18 to -5.
July 5, 2011 2 a.m.
That colorless lord made this deck just a little more ridiculous.
July 5, 2011 2:44 a.m.
@Gambit Oh, man, seriously? You mean that the owner of the deck is playing magic first time + sleeps + is in the state of intoxication?
Ok, a good set-up for goblins, so I think that I could give you a good set-up for this deck:
T1: Island , Phantasmal Bear , after T1 it leaves 20:20 cause the opponent won't go to attack with Guide if it would be killed I believe, or, Ok, if I lost the coin it's 18:20.
T2: Island , Lord of the Unreal . In case of losing the coin 16:20, otherwise 18:20 + Guide is killed.
T3: Island , Phantasmal Bear , Phantasmal Image copying the lord. Bear 4/4 hex, Lord 3/3 hex, Lord 2/2. Ok, in worth case, 12:20. Still have lord 3/3 hex, opp. a goblin+Memnite
T4: Island , Grand Architect , tap Architect, 2 life - Phyrexian Metamorph Copying architect. Lord 5/5 hex, 2 architects 2/4. 10:20 after casting morph, opp. has Goblin Guide , Goblin Chieftain , Memnite to attack. We let Memnite pass, 9:20.The next turn Wurmcoil Engine will rise all the health that we've lost.

i dont think its on tapped out, so go google Adaptive Automaton
July 5, 2011 8:21 a.m.
With the release of Adaptive Automaton . I would add this as a 2 of, maybe taking out Contagion Engine and Steel Hellkite , or a Treasure Mage .
July 5, 2011 2:26 p.m.
I am taking out Contagion Engine , and a wurm for 2 of for now.

I didn't know you could make decks with m12 yet!?!?
I had a very similar deck on paper, now its time to make!!!!!
I really like this, all bases covered, I still see Goblin grenade giving this a hard time, but you can make changes to combat it.
Very cool deck man, I'd love to take a whack at it and the future of white. Procursor Golem would be pretty cool in this deck if you think about it....
July 5, 2011 8:32 p.m.
I've added Blightsteel Colossus as an alt-win con in my sideboard. Possible turn 5 with grand architect and lands.

hello everybody. @leafs_suck, i love the deck +1 from me. if you could take a look at my new mono green stomper deck that i think could work and give me some feedback and possibly a +1 if you like it, that would be awsome. Also, my dragon edh deck needs some work. i need to take a card out. a bit oh help and a +1 from you would help me on my way. im a bit new to magic so a bit of help from a master would help extreamly... thanks alot and +1 for the awsome deck!!!
July 6, 2011 1:46 a.m.
Pretty cool that I never noticed but, this deck isn't even all that bad with board wipes.
If I have a Wurmcoil Engine T3 with Grand Architect , and I Phantasmal Image the wurmcoil turn 4, if someone uses a board wipe, I still get 2 sets of 3/3 wurms. Which because board wipes are sorcery speed, will be nice and ready to swing for 12 damage (or 9 if they summon a blocker by some miracle) which will probably mean goodnight for your opponent.
<3 this deck.

Justin2543 says... #16
Umm, it'll be extremely unlikely for that to happen. You would need to drop a creature each turn as well as having 3 land drops as well as having the wurmcoil engine. And there is some nice exile such as red sun's zenith and dispatch so board wipes aren't the only thing you need to to worry about. Its still a pretty good build though
July 6, 2011 1:58 a.m.
Obviously this deck can't be perfect and deal with everything but one MAJOR worry I had was board wipes, so I am pretty happy i'm not totally eff'd.
Also, you would be shocked how often I get copied wurmcoils by turn 5. It happens quite often to tell you the truth.

You should -1 Island , -2 Adaptive Automaton , -2 Xenograft and -4 Ponder for +4 Phantasmal Dragon (don't know why you don't have it in here), +2 Time Reversal , +2 of either Divination or Mind Unbound , and +1 of either Wurmcoil Engine or Steel Hellkite

MetaphysicalxProdigy says... #19
nm i read Ponder wrong, didn't realize you could still yet shuffle your library if you didn't like your findings XD. Damn, that is a good card, might as well keep the 4 of them.
I would still swap the automatons and Xenograft s for those 4 Phantasmal Dragon s, and an Island for another Steel Hellkite
July 6, 2011 2:23 a.m.
Btw priced the mainboard on SCG at about $80, actually maybe even a bit less, im dying to play this for real, maybe ill make my own version thanks so much for inspiring the mini decm builder inside of me!
July 6, 2011 2:40 a.m.
No problem Malekor!
Just updated it to be more creature heavy. Sideboarded some Time Reversal for lols and it's serious card draw. Divination as well.
Added in the Phantasmal Dragon s considering all the pump ups by Grand Architect and Lord of the Unreal .
July 6, 2011 2:48 a.m.
i made an account specifically to comment on this deck idea! leals, you have an excellent list here, it is much like my own homebrew list.
a few suggestions to try if you wish are the blue shrine since it can play basically free with the architect and can yield a much larger range of top deck devastation than ponder, including even a well-timed negate
also i have been trying cosi's trickster as my secondary turn 1 threat should you wish to test it. it has been both good and bad for me
July 6, 2011 4:58 a.m.
Nice to hear that you incorporated the Treasure Mage s. =)
I think the SB can still be improved. You can make this into a Tier1 deck by addressing the Tier1 matchups, ie, 1. U/B, U/W, Mono-B, Mono-W control2. Splinter-Twin3. Valakult4. Red, Vampire aggro
This deck is really inspiring that I made my own deck based on it. Although its more of an aggro-control and non-budget. You can check it out at: BlueGhost. My SB is build to address the Tier1 matchups.

Dude, screw negate, I would much rather use Redirect or Unsummon
rather than negate. Redirect has so many effects while unsummon can save one of your coils, ga's or lords, or completely set them back a turn in terms of field presence.
I made a similar deck with complimenting aggro / control. Nothing funnier than redirecting a fully charged red sun zenith or a doom blade

Alrighty... lots of comments, so I'm not sure if anyone has brought this up yet or not.
Grand Architect 's tap for Mana ability targets the creature being tapped, therefore it will cause you to sacrifice any illusion you tap for mana. Lord of the Unreal will not protect them from this.
So, as long as you don't mind sacrificing your Illusion army in order to get your Wurmcoil Engine out, then your still good, but don't expect your Phantasmal Bear to stick around to help him out.
