The premise behind this deck, is to cause your graveyard to feed your monsters. I know, its VERY original.
The idea is simple, you use cards like Sedge Scorpion and Slitherhead for early on blockers. The Sedge Scorpion is a 1/1 with deathtouch and has the potential to increase both you and your opponents grave yard, where the Slitherhead is a free +1/+1 once it hits your graveyard.
Varolz, the Scar-Striped allows you add counters to your creatures by exiling your graveyard and Corpsejack Menace causes you to add more counters per exile. Bow of Nylea even adds more flexibility by giving you one more way to add counters.
Lotleth Troll lets you discard creatures for counters as well as regenerate, so you can actually put creatures in the graveyard without having to play them and block larger creatures.
Scavenging Ooze lets you gain a small amount of life back, while eating your opponents graveyard. Always eat your opponents graveyard first so you can use yours to exile with Varolz, the Scar-Striped.
Vastwood Hydra gives you flexibility, in the sense that, when he enters the battlefield, he enters with only +1/+1 counters. WHen he dies, you get to place them on other creatures you have out on the board.
Lets talk about Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord. The +1/+1 for creatures in your graveyard ability wont be much help, since your going to be eating your graveyard nonstop. However, you can sacrifice any creature you pump up to deal damage directly to a player. in a pinch, you can always discard him to help your Lotleth Troll and sacrifice a Swamp and Forest to get him back later.
On to spells: Abrupt Decay, Doom Blade, and Hero's Downfall are all simply ways to deal with creatures that may pose problems early on on late game. I have included Dark Betrayal in the side board, so as to add a counter to facing off against a black deck.
All in all, I have fun playing this deck, even if I dont take home gold at FNM. Its hit or miss with who I am playing, I dont always leave some of the side board where it is, the Golgari Charm finds its way in and out of the deck.
I hope you enjoy this if you use it. I'm very open to suggestions to improve this deck, since its my current favorite. My first time posting a deck that I am using, so I apologize if I messed up the links or explanations.
