Graveyard? What graveyard?

I actually have a Gisa and Geralf deck myself, so I can give you a few pointers:

I personally prefer the self-mill route, since it fills up your graveyard quite easily. I bet you can cut cards depending on which route you choose to go.

As for more generic cards, I find both Commander's Sphere and Chromatic Lantern a tad redundant, because there's only really two colors. Murder can also be cut, because it's outclassed by Hero's Downfall, which I see you already have.

Hope this helps!

Cool deck. I would suggest you replace Epiphany at the Drownyard with Fact or Fiction. Its just a better card since you choose what goes in your graveyard. Windfall would also be a great source of card advantage given your commanders.

Also Mystical Tutor and Sidisi, Undead Vizier would give you way more consistency.

Fact or Fiction was a good idea.

Idk about Windfall yet though since that could also help my opponents.

I still need some good tutors like Demonic Tutor and Vampiric Tutor. I'll find room for Sidisi, but I don't think I have many good things to grab with Mystical Tutor

Fair enough. Windfall can help your opponents, but it can also screw up their deck pretty easily if they arent a graveyard based deck. Even if they benefit you will almost always benefit more. It is much better with a low curve since you can dump your hand fast then cast it. I suggested mystical because it is blue and somewhat budget friendly. Vampiric and demonic are definitely better if price is no issue. Buried Alive seems like a reasonably good target for you since it can effectively Demonic Tutor for 3 zombies. Intuition and Entomb are similarly good for your commanders.

I'll probably grab a Mystical Tutor and see what happens. Probably grab another tutor with it. Lol.

Intuition isn't a bad idea either.

What you think about Black Market? It's a good mana card, but it's 5 mana and a black card. If I put too many large black cards in here it'll end up being mono black.

It is a great card for a casual game of magic. How competitive do you want to make the deck?

July 23, 2016 1:18 p.m.

Well it started as a casual deck, but with buying all the foils and power cards so far, it's looking like it's going to be a powerful deck instead.

I promise I'll stop spamming your deck list, it is just I have been fascinated with G&G. I think Phyrexian Delver would be sick. Gisa and Geralf also can win the game with Deadeye Navigator + Peregrine Drake . That would probably be the most powerful "2 card combo" for them, but many people find that combo distasteful.

July 23, 2016 4:22 p.m.

Oh no I appreciate the feedback and ideas. Lol.

Drake could be good. I don't have many combos so I'll have to find room.

I've had multiple people tell me to add the Delver. He seems really solid.

What do you think about Coffin Queen? Worthy of inclusion?

In your deck she is solid. Outside it I would never play her but zombies with good abilities are your bread and butter

July 23, 2016 9:44 p.m.

I gave an update to the deck. Anything else you'd think would be solid?

July 24, 2016 3:21 p.m.

What are your thoughts on adding Hellfire as an additional board wipe?

Overall the deck is looking really good. I agree with most your card choices. I have a couple concerns which I have encountered in my past attempts at a zombie deck. Most of your good cards are CC 3-5 and blue/black has almost no ramp. You will find that most games you will be slow getting out of the gate and green decks will outpace you pretty quickly given that your not running tons of countermagic and/or board wipes. I think your deck would be fine as it is but I will give take a shotgun approach and give you way too many suggestions that you can select from.

If you are making changes I would encourage you cut some low impact cards for good cheap spells. Cards you many want to consider:

Tolarian Winds: Does what dreamborn muse does cheaper and at instant speed.

Skullclamp: Not needed but considering you sac alot it will do some serious work.

Relentless Dead: Cheap value city zombie

Withered Wretch: Nice cheap utility creature zombie

Trinket Mage: Grabs Sol Ring Mana Crypt artifact lands, Top and Skullclamp. One of blues best ramp/toolbox cards.

Exhume: Rarely will the drawback be a reason not to cast it. If you want a more selfish reanimation spell Necromancy is pretty damn good.

Careful Study and Merfolk Looter: Pure value in your deck

Phantasmal Image: copy mana dorks early game and Rune-Scarred Demons late game.

Mystical Tutor: Even an narrow vampiric tutor is banned in dual commander.

Ancient Tomb: Fast mana

I would cut:

Necropotence: insanely powerful but it clashes badly with what your deck is looking to do.

Malevolent Awakening: Seems really weak and clashes with what your deck wants to do

Rise from the Grave: Way overcosted

Dark Salvation: Way overcosted

Dreamborn Muse: Not a zombie and you have better options already.

As for Hellfire it is a good boardwipe for your deck but Toxic Deluge and Living Death are far stronger options in my opinion.

Also if you are looking for more good zombies Fatestitcher, Corpse Connoisseur, and Vengeful Pharaoh are all cool cards.

July 24, 2016 6:44 p.m.

I have Withered Wretch, Exhume already, and Necromancy and Dance of the Dead in paper but not here apparently.

Dark Salvation will usually only ever cost mana symbol b, because I'll already have a bunch of zombies out. But it only targets 1 thing so it may be cut.

Living Death will be added in place of hellfire. Acts as a board wipe and a mass recursion card.

Relentless Dead will find a way in here. I've thought about it a lot just never have room for everything.

The more I take out, I end up taking out blue cards so my ratio gets larger and larger which concerns me. I haven't had an issue yet, but it seems dangerous.

My bad I totally missed those cards. Like I said the deck is solid.

What are your thoughts on Necrotic Ooze? There are some badass zombie activated abilities like Dralnu, Lich Lord and Grimgrin, Corpse-Born that you could abuse the crap out of.

July 24, 2016 7:52 p.m.

Having 13 out of 33 creatures with activated abilities it'd be a great addition. Just don't know what to take out now.

I think the color ratio is fine. I know you love blue, but it's typically going to be the secondary color in zombie tribal just because zombies are solidly black creatures outside of Innistrad.

Have you considered Patriarch's Bidding?

July 25, 2016 1:31 p.m.

I looked at it. Both that and Twilight's Call. Which you think would be better?

July 25, 2016 1:54 p.m.

ComradeJim270 says... #21

I like Bidding much better because unless there's another tribal deck at the table (and probably even then) it will be asymmetrical in your favor. It's far less likely to bite you in the ass.

July 25, 2016 1:57 p.m.

Mmk. That's what I figured, since Bidding brings only a creature type back.

How's the rest of it looking? any ideas or concerns? I have about 15 cards to get until my paper matches this deck.

ComradeJim270 says... #23

My only particular concern here is that there's not much spot removal. Hero's Downfall, stuff like that.

July 25, 2016 5:02 p.m.

I had Hero's Downfall in here at one point.

I have Stronghold Assassin and Skinrender for spot removal now, and a lot of mass removal.

Do you think I should put some back in?

July 25, 2016 5:28 p.m.

ComradeJim270 says... #25

I think you should put in Downfall, for sure. Maybe one other widely useful instant-speed kill spell like Go for the Throat or Murder. It's just good to be able to kill problematic creatures.
