Game plan: Use Meren of Clan Nel Toth and temporarily disposable creatures to recur major threats and gain value.

How do we do this?

With an array of sacrifice effects and ways to keep our Graveyard full to bursting. Using free sac outlets to fill the Graveyard with creatures, and provide a way to gain value from our creatures dying, we get a second hand of sorts to work with. Whenever possible, you want your creatures to die on your terms, but if you swing into a wall and loose some creatures in doing so, it isn't too much of a problem.

The most important key to this is getting experience counters rapidly. If you fail to gain counters, you cannot recur your threats with Meren, and you are stuck with a slow game. To that end, we need access to our sac outlets, preferably free ones.

These are the preferred outlets. Being free and usable at instant speed, they can provide evasion, and can be used infinitely. The altar is preferred above the others for its ability to stock the graveyard on its own.

While less desirable than the free outlets, Evoulutionary leap lets me work through my deck realatively fast, eating whatever creatures I don't need at the moment.

Altar's Reap

Providing a way to gain additional value beyond an experience counter and any death effects, this is a very good way to draw into a potential win condition.

Conditional Show

Primal Growth - Mana ramp is always helpful, and being able to use those lands right away is great. Pitching a creature to get an extra is a non issue to this deck.

Garruk Relentless   - More for its sac into tutor -1 than anything else, but the bolt is nice as well.

Birthing Pod - This should need no introduction. Being able to find a creature whenever you have priority is excellent. Getting death triggers as well only makes it better.

Eldrazi Monument - Sacrificing a creature each turn to get +1/+1 flying and indestructible on all of my creatures is an excellent trade in this deck, especially when the creature you sacrificed comes back that same turn.

Sidisi, Undead Vizier - A nice body for her cost, she also Lets me find what I need at a given time.

Sacrifice Fodder Show

These are cards that die beautifully.

Any token. Tokens are easily renewable, and feed the conditional sacrifice outlets very well.

Avenger of Zendikar - Powerful ETB effects make for things we want to enter a lot. Killing these things off gives us a way to accomplish this.

Caustic Caterpillar - repeatable naturalize on a stick. I have also made this thing a 11/11. That was fun.

Butcher of Malakir and Dictate of Erebos - When I sacrifice a myriad of creatures, so do my opponents

Conjurer's Closet - Blinking creatures with strong ETB effects is a good thing.

Courser of Kruphix - Gainning some life off of the ramp I almost always am doing is nice, and it helps me thin out my deck.

Craterhoof Behemoth - Podding into Avenger of Zendikar and then Craterhoof Behemoth ends the game.

Creakwood Liege - Buffing all of the creatures in this deck with very few exceptions, this also poops out tokens for sacrificing later every turn.

Deathreap Ritual and Skullclamp - Creatures are always dying. I can leverage this to keep my hand full and avoid falling into top-deck mode.

Exploration - It is always good to be turns ahead in terms of land drops.

Extractor Demon - Filling a similar role to Altar of Dementia, it mills me and keeps my graveyard stocked for use by Meren or Sheoldred.

Lotleth Troll - Being able to pitch creatures directly from my hand is great, particularly if I am having mana issues.

Matter Reshaper - Either draws a card or puts something into play when it dies. And then it comes back.

Mikaeus, the Unhallowed - Dying is good. When a creature can die twice before I have to actually work at bringing it back, I get two for one activation, often better the second time around.

Mortician Beetle - I sac creatures a lot. If one or more of my grave pact effects are in play, so do my opponents. This thing becomes a major beat stick.

Oath of Nissa - More for its ETB effect than anything, It helps me find the best card in my top 3, and then helps me mana fix for later. It may soon get the axe, but I will hold off for now.

Parallel Lives - I already make an irresponsible number of tokens. Making it 2 * irresponsible is good.

Reaper from the Abyss - Most of the time, this will kill something every turn, my turn or otherwise.

Sheoldred, Whispering One - Getting an additional creature at the beginning of my turn, and removing an opponent's creature every turn is excellent for my game plan.

Strionic Resonator - The majority of the above abilities can be copied with this, and it also hits ETB or death triggers.

Yavimaya Elder - Finds lands to help thin out the deck, and potentially draws cards. Also is a good creature to put Skullclamp on.

Zulaport Cutthroat - If someone wipes the board, my opponents take a lot of damage, in conveniently calculable chunks.
