Graveyard's Boon

Hello there. This deck attempts to utilize your library as only Golgari and (Izzet to some extend) can do, meaning that discarded or milled cards all just work in your own favor. I realise the deck will soon be out of standard, but I've had some quite some fun with it. It has never seen a tournament before, but it has seen quite (and won) matches with friends. It was created before the new set came out, which is why it contains e.g. Putrefy over Hero's Downfall, no gods, etc.

Card explanation -

Deathrite Shaman - For a single mana this guy's a wonderful utility tool. Due to the heavy self-farming as well through Grizly Scavenge and Rot Farm Skeleton, this guy can often use whichever effect he desires. Once you get later in the game you can also easily exile from your opponents graveyard.

Lotleth Troll - Starts out small, but has trample and can be regenerated for a single mana. Remember that cards that are discarded for him can be utilized again through other means.

Sylvan Caryatid - Stops the earliest of aggression and helps speeding things up on your side. The hexproof is a wonderful addition.

Grisly Salvage - So here is where the fun begins. If you're in desperate need of land, this spell comes at only 2 and can net you either land or creature, whichever you're in need of. Also adds to our '2nd library', through the means of the Deathrite Shaman, Treasured Find, Jarad, Varolz or the shadowborn demon.

Treasured Find - Rot Farm Skeleton milled out a card you really wanted? You just used your removal and your opponent threw out another icky? Look no more! Recycling is the whole idea of Golgari after all.

Varolz, the Scar-Striped - Provides all creatures with scavenge equal to their mana cost. Picture this: Your Lotleth Troll cannot swing because your opponent has out a big creature. You throw out a Shadowborn Demon (Grizly Salvage and Rot Farm Skeleton helps meet his requirement) and your opponent removes him. Fair enough. Scavenge him onto your Lotleth and suddenly you have an even bigger monster with trample and regenerate. The main reason I run of this guy is that it's okay to just discard him. Other Varolz can even help you scavenge him for some counters.

Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord - Gets boosted up by creatures in your graveyard. Can even sack 'em if say, your opponent keeps the Desecration Demon tapped out.

Putrefy - Spot removal. Usually comes in handy.

Rot Farm Skeleton - A rather alright attack engine. You can easily get him back on the field while contributing to your removing your opponents' field and generating a bigger graveyard.

Desecration Demon - Cheap heavy hitter. Lovely card.

Shadowborn Demon - Makes a wonderful entrance on the battlefield. While his drawback can be lethal and crippling for other decks, it's hardly even felt in a deck like this.

First deck ever posted here. Was rather fun I've gotta say.

Updates Add

Added Kalonian Hydra and Corpsejack Menace to the maybeboard. While they can certainly make a big change on the field, I feel they're rather slow cards. The Hydra is a one-man army, while I find Corpsejack to often be pinned down and only used for the effect, not the body.
