I have a similar combo =3

Havengul lich + Blood Artist + Heartless Summoning. Each round is 1 black mana for -/+ 1. Though if you're using gravecrawler as a catalyst, I wouldn't suggest heartless summoning. =3

The new creature Crypt Ghast double the combo's effectiveness due to extort cost and +1B balancing each other out (or you could just cast gravecrawler 2x times, similar results). You should check him out.

I'd just like to say it's surprising Liliana of the Veil is out of your price range, and yet you have 4 Cavern of Souls , ($25 a pop). but lili isn't great in the current standard anyways, but I think you can drop the Killing Wave in favor of Mutilate and replace Bone Splinters with Ultimate Price and if you want you sould see about adding card:Altar's Reap excellent spell against decks that run Pillar of Flame , sack your Gravecrawler in response to the pillar, and it's a part of the asting cost, so even if they counter it the sacrifice portion still goes through. Cackling Counterpart might be something to look into as well, if you have one or two Blood Artist out you can respond to a board wipe with counterpart, copying an artist to get extra damage in, and then still have the flashback available. P.S. sorry for the wall of text :3

@Rooah711 I got the Cavern of Souls pretty cheap, and i valued them higher than liliana at the time. Killing Wave is really nice in my opinion simply because you have different options with it, It's not just "destroy all creatures" It's more like "destroy the creatures you want to destroy, keep the wants you don't" but i might have to side some Mutilate s. The Bone Splinters will have to wait to be playtested with properly before i decide about that. The card:Altar's Reap thing is actually really nice, i never thought of playing it like that! I'll definitaly check that out! The Cackling Counterpart s however will be difficult because i almost never will be able to produce two blue mana consistently. :( P.S. Yeah, i thought about it, if you mean using it with Grimgrin, Corpse-Born . It could work! But since i still haven't received my deck (thanks coolstuffinc) i haven't had time to playtest. But i will when it shows up! Thanks!

Oh, one thing I forgot to mention, Endless Ranks of the Dead is great with Grimgrin, Corpse-Born , used it in a B/U zombie mill deck and it generates an insane amount of grimgrin fodder.

Considered Black Cat instead of Diregraf Ghoul ?

You can always sac the Black Cat to Bone Splinters , card:Altar's Reap, or Grimgrin, Corpse-Born , it counts as a zombie so it activates Diregraf Captain and Gravecrawler , and you don't have many 2-drops. I think using Havengul Lich to re-summon this guy for 3 mana means you might be able to deplete your opponent's hand.

Also, Immortal Servitude looks pretty cool here.

Personally I feel you'd be subject to weakness vs any hexproof creatures. You have a lot of target creature abilities... perhaps add in some "target player sacs creature" type abilities. Hard to say without playin it though.

I had Tribute to Hunger before, and it's in the maybeboard. We'll see if i need it. Could find it's way into the sideboard! :)

I wanted to change over to the B/U version of zombies because B/G has been getting a bit boring for me. Thanks for the deck idea! It's just what I was looking for and uses a lot of cards that I already have!

Take out 2 dire graf ghouls for the thrulls only run 2 and mainboard night hawks and at least 1 evil twin I like 2 evil twins and 1 less captain if you really want to hit killing wave for game sooner. I know sometimes copying a blood artist with evil twin seems like overpaying but not when killing wave is in the mix.

Also you may want to carry Jace, memory adept x2 Wight of presicnt six x4 and mind sculpt x4 and consumming aberration x2 in your SB so you can switch to mill and kill game 2. The swaps are messenger/mikaous for Jaces and Wights for Blood artists and Consuming aberration for grim grin and mind sculp for tragic slip unless opponent is playing indestructables and they are nesessary. Your opponent is never going to be able to adjust to a totally new playstyle 1 game later.

Sorry 2 of the killing waves would become mind sculpt in swap and keep two slips or ult price whatever you want in those 2 removal slots.

Also forget app for brains and run pithing needle for pesky planeswalkers.
