I like Swiftfoot Boots as a cheap hex + haste combo.

You have a few equipment, a Stoneforge Mystic could pull and play at a reduced CMC. I also like Steelshaper's Gift basically adds 1 CMC to whichever equipment you like (Generally Lightning Greaves) for me.

I'm not a huge fan of Tariel, Reckoner of Souls his randomness has not been effective/consistent enough during play testing, but he is fun.

Sword of Feast and Famine connects with your Hellkite Charger but doesn't off the same protection as your current equipment which I would surmise is the primary benefit your after.

Really like the Haven of the Spirit Dragon. +1. I play Kaalia as my commander, I still haven't been able to get it running perfect, some good ideas in here.

I like the set up you have, seems like a good run! I don't have much to criticize on, but one thing I seen that I don't like is whispersilk cloak, I rather have swiftfoot boots instead, because of the haste ability. If you want you could check out my Kaalia deck.

Have you though about using Rakdos, Lord of Riots in addition to your other Rakdos? you don't have to worry about the casting part if you cheat him in then you can cost high mana costing cards stuck in your hand as well.

Try Quicksilver Amulet for extra procs of Kaalia's ability.

A lot of the equipment you have I feel like could be replaced with better protection options. Swiftfoot Boots should probably go in instead of General's Kabuto. I would also consider adding in Sunforger instead of Champion's Helm - a good Sunforger package works wonders. I also run Hoarding Dragon to find Sunforger - it can also find your Lightning Greaves or Steel Hellkite. For additional protection, try Apostle's Blessing.

I'm not a big fan of the Akromas, personally. They are huge beaters, but offer no other utility and even have a hard time pulling removal off of Kaalia. You can check out my list here for some ideas for more utility-based, yet still fat, fatties here: Dies Irae. Off the top of my head, there are Overseer of the Damned, Chancellor of the Annex, Bloodgift Demon, Herald of Anguish, Dawnbreak Reclaimer, Rakdos, Lord of Riots, Sunscorch Regent (gets much bigger than both Akromas very fast), and Sire Of Insanity. There are lots of others, those are just what I like to run. However, both Akromas have the advantage of being super freaking cool, so there's that.

I've also had a lot of success with Restoration Angel. It can protect Kaalia by blinking it through removal or even serve as a pair surprise blockers when your creatures are tapped, letting you kill a commander or something. Unfortunately most of the best ETB abilities are attached to Angels, but usually you can still get value from it.

I like Diabolic Revelation a lot better than Increasing Ambition. Just me though.

I would recommend running a bunch more 2-cost mana rocks. Lets Kaalia come out a turn earlier. The other signets, Sphere of the Suns, Fellwar Stone, Coldsteel Heart, etc. To make room, you could cut maybe a beater or two, Strionic Resonator, and Reconnaissance, or something. Just an example, cut whatever bits you don't find as useful if you decide to go with this.

Really powerful list as is! Kaalia is lots of fun and I like the build you've got going. Feel free to ignore any of my suggestions, this is your build. Just wanted to shotgun a bunch of suggestions at you for you to float around. Happy face-beating!

@JaceFromStateFarm- Hey Thanks for commenting! Lets try to answer everything in order haha.

-Kabuto- Yeah the Swiftfoot boots are probably better. I know I ran it awhile for infect because of meta reasons but thats not as prevalent anymore. I used to run sunforger in the past but I never seemed to have open mana enough to use it. might try it again tho.

-Akromas are a big nostalgia point for me plus I wanted a deck to feature both amazing art from my favorite artist. Overseer and the Regent are good options. I might work them in. Reclaimer I'm not a fan of helping effects for this deck at least. I used to run rakdos but He never was worth more than just a beatstick. (I know its hypocritical with the akromas haha). I would work Sire in if I didnt want a damage all the ground based creatures first. I only have a couple of groundbased creatures myself but they have worked exceptionally .

-I originally I had all the signets in the deck. But I do know I need to do a mana rock rehab on this deck especially. I just dont play it often enough to truly test it since people dont particularly like it haha. Strionic resonator probably could get cut, but the reconnaissance is a huge boon in the deck.

I really appreciate your in depth suggestions. Love the dedication!

No problem! Yeah, I totally get wanting to keep the Akromas in and would honestly do the same had I purchased FtV Angels and had that sentimental value attached. I do disagree with you about Rakdos, Lord of Riots - cheating him out with Kaalia almost always means I can vomit a couple more bombs onto the field, and even drop a free Steel Hellkite if I'm lucky. I also have had huge success with Sire Of Insanity. Emptying your opponents' hands of answers and forcing them to topdeck while you almost certainly have a better board presence and can Kaalia out whatever you draw swings the game hugely in your favor. Plus he stocks your graveyard nicely for reanimation effects. And finally, the Reclaimer isn't as helpful to your opponents as she appears - you can choose their wimpy mana dork and they will usually be forced to choose a bomb from your yard. And you always have the option to say no and they won't come out. But if you don't want to run them that's just fine too. Those are just my reasons for liking them.

Ah, if you've had success with Reconnaissance, by all means keep it. My meta consists of relatively few fliers, so I don't have to worry much about finding a player to beat with Kaalia and friends without getting her killed.

No problem! I really have enjoyed playing Kaalia. She leads my first commander deck and thus far my only. Working on a second though. Also looking to improve my mana base in Kaalia - the enters tapped lands that I've been using are starting to slow me down. Let me know if you have suggestions there! A lot of it is pretty obvious, I just don't want to spend the money. Anyways, point is, I'm happy to help!
