This is, by far, the most competitive deck to ever hit the modern scene. Once this deck becomes seen, it will change the modern format and shift the economy in ways we cannot yet imagine. This deck takes advantage of two very broken cards (Near-Death Experience and Wall of Blood) to create a brutal COMBO which will leave your opponents in tears. Masochists, Hold onto your hats, and prepare to meet the EXPERIENCE of a lifetime.
The Game Plan:
For some reason, you thought to yourself that it would be a good idea to look at this deck. Don't ask me why you did, but you did. You are obviously in awe of the COMBO'S being put together here and now I'm here to help you play this deck like a champ. Let's take a look at some key cards:
Angel's Grace Is a /crucial/ card in this deck. It acts both as a tool to prevent you from losing the game (as you are on low life a lot) and it can be used to actually bring you to one life if your opponents try to pull some tricky maneuvers (like winning). In these cases it brings you down to the one life Near-Death Experience needs!
Near-Death Experience is the pride and joy of this deck. Not only is it your win condition, but it is the most insane win condition around. Almost always your turn five.
Night's Whisper helps you get down to that one life you need and allows you to get the GAS going for the deck
Plunge into Darkness
is one of the more powerful cards listed here. This card is great for us because it has, once again, dual functionality. A key aspect of this card is the fact it can be cast at instant speed. This allows us to pay X life on an opponents end step and be prepared to win on your next upkeep! They will never see it coming. It is also great for finding COMBO pieces in a sticky situation
Wall of Blood might just be one of the most important cards in this deck. It can be dropped on turn 3 or 4 (depending on the amount of removal your opponents play) and in an ideal world Near-Death Experience would follow the next turn. The beauty of Wall of Blood is the ability to bring your life down to exactly 1 on an opponents end step.
Silence helps delay the game and add a control aspect. Without it, in all cases, will your opponent lower your life total below 1 before you have your combo set up. It is crucial due to the lack of mana ramp in this deck (which is near impossible anyways).
Maybeboard explanation:
Two cards I have yet to try but may benefit from include Thoughtseize to increase the control aspect and Leyline of Sanctity to keep your peace of mind.
