Sideboard

Creature (4)

Instant (3)

Mono-Green that survives rotation. Ramp hard into creatures, then beat down the opponent. Almost everything over 1 mana can survive a Shock and most of the deck past 2 mana can survive a Lightning Strike. Hungering Hydra can provide value at any point in the game. Runic Armasaur, Thrashing Brontodon, and Steel Leaf Champion provide solid blockers with good utility as early as turn 2, with Vine Mare being just 1 mana later. Gigantosaurus and Ghalta are game-ending threats that can be out by turn 3 with a decent hand. Goreclaw provides the boost needed to break through chump blockers with the threats that don't have trample, and turns Hungering Hydra into the biggest threat on the board.

The deck has a natural advantage against mono-Red, but could have a few issues with R/B Vehicles. Thrashing Brontodon, Runic Armasaur, and Vine Mare mitigate it a bit, but it's still not a great matchup. Approach can be beaten, but it has a bit of an advantage.

Sorcerous Spyglass is generic sideboard against anything that gave you trouble in the first game. Plummet clears out any bothersome fliers that your opponents may be running. Chaos Wand can be used to counter Approach players, just make sure to count the cards and watch what your opponent does. Deathgorge Scavenger is a preemptive pick against the possibility of reanimator decks that may show up, as well as being a way to gain life. If that's not an issue, swap it out for Rabid Bite.
