@Rofelos

It hasn't let me down yet.

Thanks for the +1.

Fun deck. Looks quite a bit like my Omnath one, but obviously focusing on Azusa instead. I love your 'achievements' that you're aiming for XD Sadly though even with my deck, Omnath's Primal Parties, I haven't been able to G-Wave for 50, I only got up to 46.

you have 2 Dryad Arbor

Dryad Arbor shows up twice because it is counted by the creatures and by the lands. It's a known issue on the site.

Amulet of Vigor because why not have your lands enter the battlefield untapped?

@Psithief

I've never considered Amulet of Vigor , mainly because there's not much I can abuse it with.

I was going for use, rather than abuse :D
Boundless Realms <- your favourite card
Cultivate
Kodama's Reach
Boseiju, Who Shelters All
Hall of the Bandit Lord
Mosswort Bridge

@Psithief

As much as having a Boundless Realms fetch a bunch of untapped Forests makes me smile, Amulet of Vigor has no other applications in the deck.

Amulet of Vigor would be useful if there were a lot of Kismet and Frozen AEther effects running around in my meta, but since there isn't, Amulet is staying out.

I really like this build. It just looks like green bombs falling from everywhere. As for the 50plus g-wave, I actually have done it. When god's dockflop is a five-color deck I built around all da angels and hitting my g-wave at 55 was sooooooo sweet. I hope you achieve it soon.

what about Burgeoning and Exploration

Haha love the Azusa decks +1 from me. I play a similar sort of thing in R/G with Wort, the Raidmother as my commander because the only thing better than a Boundless Realms is playing it for 7 then copying it dumping 21 lands onto the battlefield. I love ramp :) P.S. Primal Surge ?

July 17, 2013 10:08 p.m.

Primeval Bounty is bonkers with Azusa, Lost but Seeking . Makes your land drops even more useful as well as getting value out of everything you play.

Lotus Cobra becomes less good after turn 2 and as I play more and more lands and Primeval Titan was banned a while back.

Mwonvuli Acid-Moss I find isn't as good as Reap and Sow . Moss only fetches a forest and it comes into play tapped, Reap can fetch any land and it comes in untapped. My usual target is Gaea's Cradle .

And Winter's Grasp and Thermokarst don't appeal to me because they destroy lands and that's all they do. They're a bit shallow and I don't want to choke the deck with too many things that are only capable of destroying one kind of permanent.

All fair statements. Luck to ya. +1. (I adore decks that interact with land, whether ramping or destroying.)

Yavimaya Elder for Courser of Kruphix ?
Abundance + Sylvan Library is amazing.
Earthcraft is amazing.Crucible of Worlds . Life from the Loam . Exploration . Burgeoning . Horn of Greed . Recycle . These are most of the engines that make my Azusa deck run. I highly recommend all of them. I also recommend doublers along the lines of Vorinclex and Mana Reflection . Clex is already in, but doublers are amazing.

I'll do a more thorough comment later or tomorrow.

Maybe Yavimaya Elder . Still going to weigh my options for that slot for a bit.

Funny thing is, a lot of the things you've suggested I've cut from the deck in the past. The deck had a lot of doublers in earlier builds but eventually most of them were cut for other things. I found that Mana Reflection and Extraplanar Lens were removed almost as soon as I played them and found myself only ever playing Vorinclex because of him being a creature I can get him with Tooth and Nail and as of Born of the Gods, alongside Archetype of Endurance . And with cards like Karametra's Acolyte and Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx , I have a little devotion-based ramp suite that is pretty effective, and can be fetched.

I'm considering Exploration , Burgeoning , Crucible of Worlds and Horn of Greed , though the former two I find to get worse as the game goes on.

Certainly Burgeoning , but Exploration + Crucible of Worlds + Strip Mine is too sweet to pass up.

Mewgle says... #22

I'm going to have to pass on that for the most part considering in my meta you lose points from "being the instigator of wrecking one or more players' mana base".

You could argue that popping choice lands wouldn't be doing so, but I've got called out by people just by having Vorinclex (and with some convincing, had them agree that it was fine). So it's awfully vague on what "wrecking mana bases" means to some people in my meta and I don't really want to take chances.

Extraplanar Lens and Snow-Covered Forests? Nice acceleration for mono-colored decks.

September 28, 2015 1:08 a.m.

Mewgle says... #24

@SorinDankov

I used Extraplanar Lens and a few other mana doublers right when I first built the deck. They all eventually were cut in favour of more land ramp and utility. Vorinclex, Voice of Hunger is the only one that remains because it's the easiest one for me to fetch and recur and he does more than just have my lands tap for more mana. I kept the Snow-Covered Forests in because I like them.
