It only synergises well with one card in the deck and otherwise is a mediocre ramp card.

I'd actually recommend Ezuri's Predation over The Great Aurora. I run a deck very much like yours, and believe me, Ezuri's Predation is the green board wipe us mono-green players have been waiting for. It's bonkers.

I feel I'd rather stick with The Great Aurora as it resets the board where Ezuri's Predation only answers creatures with toughness 4 or less. In my meta there are a few decks that just play to win and disrupting all of their gameplans at once is pretty satisfying.

If you have nykthos why not run a Voyaging Satyr to get even more mana out of it each turn? also Primalcrux is an awesome card for mono green decks imo.
December 2, 2015 1:41 p.m.
Oh and there is a 4 cost sorcery that draws three cards

@VikingBlood I will not be using Voyaging Satyr solely because, aside from untapping a land, it does nothing. It's a bad topdeck, and if I was going to have something that untaps a land, it'd be Deserted Temple. Satyr would only be good if I have Nykthos or Gaea's Cradle out, and I already get plenty of mana from them as is.
I do have a Primalcrux that I had in the deck which was cut for other things. If I ever have an flex slot in the deck I'll be putting him back in.
@bretters I know about Harmonize. It's not that good imo. Not going to use it because every other green deck uses it. I get plenty of cards from Nissa already.

Not much to change here the only thing I would suggest would be Fauna Shaman and Elvish Piper or Quicksilver Amulet that would be the only things. Over all there is not much to change.
December 3, 2015 10:58 a.m.
I like the potential usability out of Fauna Shaman. Survival of the Fittest would be a better personal choice since it's harder to remove and doesn't have summoning sickness and can be used more than once per turn.
Quicksilver Amulet was cut from the list a long time ago since blue and Iona, Shield of Emeria aren't huge issues in my meta, but if the need comes around I'll definitely be using it again.

I definitely think the Ibex deserves a slot, he's such a goofball. Any thoughts on Defense of the Heart, Avenger of Zendikar or Craterhoof Behemoth?
December 7, 2015 10:02 a.m.
Silber your suggest Craterhoof Behemoth and Avenger of Zendikar would not be a bad idea for this deck
December 7, 2015 2:04 p.m.
Pathbreaker Ibex is going into the deck as soon as I can get my hands on one. I have a spot picked out for him and everything.
Defense of the Heart is a solid card. Worked out for me before. I cut it after a while because it's a Tooth and Nail people can see coming and play around.
Avenger of Zendikar and Craterhoof Behemoth work very well together, but not really with the rest of the deck. Avenger isn't a card I desire to use for two reasons. The first being everyone expects the green deck to run Avenger. The second is every green deck runs Avenger. I might end up using it again sometime down the line when my opinion on other cards change. And Craterhoof likes numbers. This deck doesn't often get more than 4 or 5 creatures at once. So Ibex outshines him simply because his ability is determined by your creatures' power rather than how many you control. That and it's repeatable just by attacking.

Sage Animist can't be a commander however its previous form Vastwood Seaker / Sage Animist can be because Sage is not legendary. If it was a Sacrificer (Oposite Sparker) then the legendary creature can be the commander.
December 15, 2015 9:59 a.m.
Ender_Creeper_11 you're not even making sense. What is "Sacrificer (Oposite Sparker)"?
Nissa, Sage Animist is the flip side of Nissa, Vastwood Seer Flip, and therefore is the commander of the deck.
PS: Sage Animist IS legendary, so you're actually making even less sense.

Would Quicksilver Amulet or Elvish Piper and more Eldrazi go good here or am I missing something? I always am tempted to put those in, but then again I am not that good at these games. thoughts?

I may have missed the removal but why is Azusa not in this?Trying to make a deck that uses Nissa as commander as well. so trying to understand your understanding. :)
December 21, 2015 11:06 p.m.
Quicksilver Amulet and Elvish Piper are better if your meta has a lot of control in it and you need a way to get your creatures passed it. And my meta is pretty light on control. Those two cards with more Eldrazi has a bit of negative synergy since most Eldrazi worth playing have cast triggers which you won't get if you cheat them out with Amulet or Piper.
Azusa, Lost but Seeking was removed and replaced with Nissa because of Nissa's better mid to late-game relevance. Azusa, at least for my deck, was only really good before turn 4 and was then mostly irrelevant. She's not in the deck at all for the same reasons that Exploration isn't: A card in the 99 that just lets you play extra lands is a pretty bad draw late in the game when you have a lot of mana already. This is just how it is in my deck since it isn't a land-combo sort of strategy.

I love Nissa. She is my #2 waifu (after kiora). I also made her a deck. Wake the Earth This one looks similar to mine and I really dig the archetype.

Has anyone suggested Dosan the Falling Leaf to you yet? Would help you if there are any annoying control decks out there.
December 27, 2015 4:43 p.m.
Dosan the Falling Leaf I always found to be a double-edged sword. It does keep the control decks out of everyone's turns, but at the same time it also keeps everyone out of everyone else's turns. I've had City of Solitude in the deck way back and it always done more harm than good.

can I ask a few more questions. What about draw cards do you not need them? I know green has a few and a few that make you sac a dude. Also Greater Good is good one. also wonder why you do not have the Lightning Greaves or Swiftfoot Boots but instead you have Basilisk Collar and Batterskull
January 5, 2016 2:26 p.m.
Kozilek, Butcher of Truth, Lifeblood Hydra, Freyalise, Llanowar's Fury's -6, and Sylvan Library are plenty in terms of card draw when Nissa's +1 is essentially a Phyrexian Arena.
Greater Good is a really good draw engine but it's not something I would like to be using since I'd have to sacrifice something substantial to get any net value from it. It fits better in a deck that likes to play in their graveyard.
I have little interest in Boots and Greaves since I have other cards that are far more consistent that give Hexproof/Shroud and Haste. Sylvan Safekeeper, Archetype of Endurance and Surrak, the Hunt Caller are plenty for those keywords so far. Basilisk Collar is a very strong card with the amount of fairly large creatures I have in the deck, especially with trample. Batterskull is mainly there for the same reason as Collar, except I can play it as if it were a creature.

Just had a thought looking over your awesome deck build. If you had a It That Betrays out and then played All Is Dust you could keep all your cards and gain everyone elses at the same time. haha that would be cool Doh just re-looked card says whenever an opponent sacs a creature.. but still kinda cool.

You run Nykthos but no Voyaging Satyr? the satyr is great for ramp with nykthos, its great ramp plus cranks out your big fat guys way earlier.
