Green/Black Emrakul Stall Deck

Casual Casual Colorless Combo Eldrazi

kgontario

Welcome to the Green/Black Emrakul Stall Deck!

You can often get Emrakul, the Aeons Torn on the battlefield in turn 4 or 5 with this deck, which is basically a free win unless your going against something with player burn.

The idea of the deck is as follows: Try to get a starting hand that contains either Channel or Demonic Tutor, if you have both then you should be able to get Emrakul, the Aeons Torn on the field by turn 2 or 3. Once you have both cards, use Demonic Tutor to grab Emrakul, the Aeons Torn from your library and use Channel to pay 15 life and cast Emrakul, the Aeons Torn! You get an extra turn when he comes out since you're still casting him and they sacrifice 6 permanents once you decide to swing on your second turn. If you get him out early enough, they will have no cards left on the field after you finish your second turn.

Wait! You kept a hand without Channel or without Demonic Tutor? Thats okay! Your Typhoid Rats and Wall of Blossoms make great defenders against the enemy. Typhoid Rats have deathtouch, so its likely that the opponent won't attack with something too heavy. Your Wall of Blossoms is a powerhouse with 4 toughness, which means it can block most early game creatures and even some mid-game creatures! You also get to draw a card when he comes out which puts you on the road to the combo you need to send out Emrakul, the Aeons Torn!

This deck is filled with stall cards that allow you to sit out the game for a few turns, your Elvish Mystic supplies you with a single mana to use. This mana could be the difference between a turn 4 and a turn 5 win, he's a great addition to the deck and can also be used for blocking if you find yourself land flooded.

In total, this deck features 16 major stall cards. Fog is your primary stall card, one single green mana to prevent damage for a turn, you could even speed tap Elvish Mystic to cast this spell! Your Respite and Winds of Qal Sisma are great for preventing damage and stalling the game until you get your key cards! If the opponent happens to make it further in the game and sends out something big and scary, Go for the Throat or Ultimate Price (your choice) will handle it with little to no issues.

REMINDER: You need to pay life to cast Emrakul, the Aeons Torn, so preventing life loss is crucial to executing your combo!

Chance of Demonic Tutor or Channel being in your first hand: 40%

Chance of Demonic Tutor and Channel being in your first hand: 13.5%

Chance of drawing Demonic Tutor or Channel by your 5th turn: 56.5%
