Slap face* so many people have commented that when I cleared their outdated comments (many were before I made it modern), I forgot who all replied. Sorry xzzane, i i didn't know you have already seen it...or what your suggestion was.

Haha no, you're good. I genuinely didn't know what you were asking. Do you want me to take a look at it and see if I have any suggestions?

Yup! I did make changes to it if you have already seen it but I'd like input regardless of the tip.

Sure, no problem. I'll take a look at it right now.

Do you have any problem with your larger land amount. 24 seems a lot for a deck like this.

No, actually it seems to work out really nice for me. In fact, I used to have it running 26 land and it still worked fine but I decided to cut it down a little to free up space for other cards.

I'm considering taking out two land and possibly both of the armada wurms to put in either a playset of Voice of Resurgence, two Voice of Resurgences and two Wayfaring Temples (or two Monastery Mentors, I still need to see how they do in a couple test runs), or just taking out two land for two Voice of Resurgences. Any input on these possible ideas would be helpful.

Automatic no to mentor. Highly recommend against taking out land as well.

I like the two lands out for two voice idea

May I ask why you believe that taking land out would be a bad idea xzzane

Even with your Mana ramp you run a relatively higher Mana curve that a 22 land Mana base couldn't support as well.

Yeah I see your point, even if I took out the Armada Wurms I still have a lot of 4 drops. Thanks for the advice xzzane.

Id take out two lands and two armadas for three wayfaring Temple and a call of the conclave to make play set. With four birds of paradise, it's possible to run this with 22-23 lands if you ran without armada Wurm...I don't like armada Wurm.

Maybe you could take some idea's from my token deck? http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/12-02-15-token-assault/

I dont see why a Hero of Bladehold would be bad here, also if you go down on the 4 drops you remove some lands in place 1-3 drop cards. :)

Possibly add Windbrisk Heights as a 1-2 of and a Windswept Heath cause they are cheap ways of mana fixing. Possibly a Sundering Growth for enchantment removal if you need it. Looks great though, good job!

Thanks Green_Ghost, its taken a long time to get it looking this good. As for the Windbrisk Heights I've tried it before in this deck but it never seemed to work well enough, I'd always end up using it on something that I would have been better off casting from my hand. Windswept Heath could be interesting though. Do you know if it allows you to search for ForestPlains cards like Temple Garden, cause then it would definitely be worth adding. But otherwise there isn't really enough forests and plains in this deck to justify it.

Abijoe sorry I haven't responded lately, I've been kind of busy. The main reason I don't run a Hero of Bladehold in this deck is because I tried to focus on getting out bigger tokens with the cards in this deck and the Hero tends to bite a path every time it is played.

Yeah the main reason that fetchlands are used in modern is so that you can get your shocklands.

kingalvin says... #19

Well I might have to use those then Green_Ghost, thanks for the suggestion.

I disagree with taking out the lands as well. It just wont work. Sure you have more non-land cards, but you need a consistant land per turn for at least a bit. Also, your never going to see all your non-lands anyways.. why bother?

kingalvin says... #22

Yeah I'd have to agree with you awesomealex77 I think I've decided to leave the lands as is. What do you think about taking out the Sword of Fire and Ice in place of something else.

griffstick says... #23

Considering to cast and equip that sword is 6 mana i think any of these would be better Secure the Wastes, Deploy to the Front, and Nomads' Assembly. Exspecially Nomads' Assembly it would be a good finisher plus the free rebound on the next turn.

GreenGhost says... #24

Honestly I think you would get more value and consistency out of a fourth copy intangible virtue than sword of tire and ice.

kingalvin says... #25

I would have to agree with you Green_Ghost, having a fourth copy of Intangible Virtue would be really helpful. I think I'm either gonna do that or add in a Voice of Resurgence to try to get a playset of them. I like those suggestions griffstick, those cards could be really nice in a token deck, especially Nomads' Assembly. The only reason I probably won't use them is because I am trying to focus on creature tokens that are bigger when they hit the field. I will definitely add those to the maybeboard in case I decide to use those kinds of cards later. Thanks for the suggestions.
