I happen to have all the cards, since i played Selesnya tokens in the Return to Ravnica Block.

I must say i tried this deck. It was amazing. Path to Exile Was the card that i missed in the whole rotation. Instead i used Midnight Haunting for a comeback after Supreme Verdict.

I used 2xGarruk, Primal Hunter instead of Elspeth, Knight-Errant And Garruk Wildspeaker.

Your deck is amazing. I couldn't deal with all that JUND decks back in the day. But now... in Modern format this deck feels solid as rock.

Thank you for reminding me of the sensation of playing my favorite deck again. You have my +1. And Finally i found a good build for playing Modern.

Thanks for the +1 Wildsong, its great to know there are other people that are as enthusiastic about Green/White tokens as I am. Green/White tokens was the very first deck I used when I first started playing and I plan to keep using it for a long time.

If I may pull some of my favourite cards from my populate deck, Selesnya Sanctuary, Selesnya Guildgate, Blossoming Sands, and Selesnya Signet for mana ramping. Collective Blessing, Alive / Well, Increasing Devotion if you don't mind the high cost flashback cost, Spectral Procession, Mitotic Slime. Squadron Hawk for low cost creatures, and Elspeth, Sun's Champion is a big player in my populate deck. This is a great deck, and thank you for showing me Parallel Lives + Voice of Resurgence ! They definitely have a place in my deck!

You're very welcome Kirbuigi, that combo can be very useful. As for the land you mentioned, although it makes sense in a budget form of this kind of deck, the ability to use your multi colored lands right away is a key part to winning quickly and efficiently, which is why I chose the lands that I did.

Kirbuigi says... #5

Mmmmm... Good point. Though, there is a green card that allows your lands to come in untapped, so you don't have to worry about that dub this card comes in tapped crap. I hate that mechanic, Just slows you down for one whole turn. So pointless! Though, it does make some tough situations, and good challenges sometimes.

By the way, the card I was thinking of is Amulet of Vigor. It's a colourless, so anyone can cast it. Awesome card if you have some slow lands in your deck. I might look into it if it's cheap. As you said, I have a low budget.

Never mind, Amulet of Vigor, not cheap... that's out...

(in a feeble laughing fit) Wow, only just now checked the price of the deck...$400!? Wow, you have a lot of cash! Would you mind checking over my deck and tell me if it is an okay attempt? Also, just as a note, I built this in a day. Humble brag?

I got an amazing 0,7 W/L ratio with this deck.

It is 70,58% victory with this version. This deck is consistent. Most of time i win with more than 75% of my initial Health Points and with my opponent having nothing on board (thanks to Path to Exile and Selesnya Charm) and few to none cards in hand (trying to deploy everything to block or disrupt my game).

Nice Wildsong, I think I will switch out the two lands the same way you did, that seems like a good idea. What kind of decks did you face?

I love the idea of this deck, but it is really expensive to assemble. What do you think of this budget version I made? http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/gw-token-pwnage/

I was considering adding fleecemane lions as they would force my opponent to focus on removing them rather than my tokens. However, they would have no synergy with all the populating in my deck. Any suggestions?

Wake the Reflections works good in my token decks, have you tried it?

May 27, 2015 8:58 p.m.

kingalvin says... #13

Yes mardolous, I've tried using Wake the Reflections in this deck before but I've found that it doesn't always work as well as you might think. The problem with that card is the fact that, although it only costs 1 to play, it doesn't work without a token in play. I personally prefer to use cards that can both populate and do something else for you, such as Druid's Deliverance, because then I can use it for its second effect even if I don't own a token at the time. Sorry I didn't respond sooner, I got distracted by work.

Sundering Growth and Trostani's Summoner seem good Sideboards or Mainboard options to some of your own, i really don't like the Miracle Card, it relies basically on Luck and might just not be the best card to use on your turn... i don't know though you might like it somehow.hope your deck brings you great success +1 for Tokens

I'm pretty new, so don't feel pressured to take my advice, but I myself am a fan of Noble Hierarch, which could replace Birds of Paradise as a green-white mana-spitter, whilst also giving the exalted boost, which is very useful early-game when you've got a smaller army.

kingalvin says... #16

Xerxes145 and DHWorlds, thank you for the suggestions, they are all reasonable ones. The reason I don't run a Trostani's Summoner is because of the really high mana cost, for this deck to be competitive the mana cost has to be four or lower on all the cards. As for Sundering Growth I have already considered adding it in to help with artifact decks but I haven't had any time to decide on it yet. The Noble Hierarch could be a good card to add but the reason I use Birds of Paradise is the flying they have.

Sam_I_am says... #17

you should find room 2 Sundering Growth into your sideboard, because when it has targets, it will literally be the best card in your deck.

I'd also replace your Parallel Lives They don't come in early enough to do the real work.

You can also certainly run Lingering Souls. You don't even need to run black lands, since Birds of Paradise can flash it back sometimes, but you should probably consider replacing a forest and a planes with an Overgrown Tomb and a Godless Shrine

Abijoe says... #18

Hey, have you ever considered Mentor of the Meek? He seems to generate a bit of card advantage...

June 24, 2015 9:52 p.m.

kingalvin says... #19

It's a good card Abijoe but the problem is, that card requires me to be playing creatures with power 2 or less and all my cards, even my tokens have power of at least 3. It's a good suggestion but only for decks with smaller creatures.

Xenkay says... #20

Maybe Rhys the Redeemed and/or Mycoloth?

June 30, 2015 10:37 a.m.

kingalvin says... #21

Thanks for the suggestions Xenkay but the problem with Rhys the Redeemed is the fact that it dies to quickly because of burn spells or paths and the reason I don't use Mycoloth is because it gives you 1/1 tokens and this deck focuses on bigger tokens.

PartyJace says... #22

This is a great deck, but I'd make a couple of changes.

First of all, I don't really see why you need Intangible Virtue, since since most of the tokens in this deck already have fairly high power and toughness and a few have vigilance. Furthermore, with Druid's Deliverance, there's no particular need to have blockers anyway.

I'd add another Parallel Lives and two Tajuru Preserver, as this deck currently gets completely wiped by All Is Dust. The Tajuru Preserver is sideboard material, of course, so I'd move Thrun, the Last Troll from the sideboard to the main in order to be a master troll yourself

I might steal this deck and build it with this configuration so I can playtest in more easily. I'll credit you on the page ofc.

Thanks for the ideas PartyJace, and if you do make this deck and test it out be sure to send me a link and keep me updated on how it works for you.

13toZEN says... #24

Great idea. Two suggestions I might use would be Triplicate Spirits for some flying creature tokens. It uses convoke which works well with all the token creatures here. Lastly maybe try a Dictate of Heliod to either supplement or replace intangible virtue. The fact that is has flash is pretty useful in my opinion. Good luck with the deck.

July 20, 2015 9:27 a.m.

Kirbuigi says... #25

13toZEN, Triplicate Spirits is a high mana cost for 3 creatures, with or without flying. Spectral Procession is a better card, to be honest. Dictate of Heliod is a possibility, but I would put Collective Blessing instead.
