Grenzo, Havoc Raiser EDH Deck

French Ban list Legal (1v1)

Multiple infinite combos in the deck with Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker:

Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker + Lightning Crafter + sac outlet (I cut Lightning Crafter for Moggcatcher ) = Infinite Damage or add Altar of the Brood to infinitely mill your opponents

Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker or Krenko, Mob Boss + Breath of Fury + Bedlam = Infinite attacks ( I swapped Breath of Fury for Aggravated Assault )

Goblin Warrens + Mana Echoes + Gemstone Array = Infinite Goblins

Taurean Mauler + Mana Echoes lets you get free mana from creatures your opponents cast to add more charges to Gemstone Array

Added Goblin Sharpshooter + Basilisk Collar combo (to kill all target-able creatures)

Many of these combos can be mix and matched to either go infinite, or gain great advantage in a single turn (10+ activations depending on mana, ect) Soul Net is here to get infinite life in case your opponents have some other lock like Worship or just use Soul Net to offset the life lost from attacks with Forcefield (the only suuper expensive card in the deck, I'm using a CE one) in play

Gemstone Array is there to store extra mana from Caged Sun, Extraplanar Lens, Gauntlet of Power, or Mana Echoes to cast your opponents spells with later. And Lantern of Insight is to help you decided who you need to attack, by seeing what card you want to steal (or let them draw)

To help make sure your attacks "deal combat damage to a player" to trigger Grenzo, Havoc Raiser we run cards like Bedlam, Goblin War Drums, Blade of Selves, Whispersilk Cloak, War Cadence and War's Toll. To offset the latter, we also run Crawlspace, Dolmen Gate, Forcefield, Glacial Crevasses + Snow-Covered Mountain and also from the fact you are most likely playing the most aggressive deck at the table.

The cards in the maybe board are ones I'm still considering depending on what holes I feel the deck is missing. (suggestions welcome)

There is little in the way of interaction (Goblin Assassin, Vandalblast and Chaos Warp ) as I think you will be better off stealing interaction from your opponents via Grenzo, Havoc Raiser, and I think in doing so this way adds to the flavor of the deck. I have also kept the deck tribal to Goblins as I feel there is still enough power with the usual tribal cards (Caterwauling Boggart, Goblin Chieftain, Goblin King ect.. ) and we really just want to make sure attacks land on our opponents, even if they are just 1/1 Goblins.

There could be a few hozer cards out there for you like Ensnaring Bridge,Worship, Platinum Angel ect.. but with Altar of the Brood, Impact Tremors and Lightning Crafter combos we would still have multiple win conditions without actually attacking.

Replacement cards if your playgroup frowns on infinite combos:

-Lightning Crafter for Beetleback Chief

-Breath of Fury for Aggravated Assault

-Goblin Warrens for Goblin Bombardment

Cards I have shot down and why:

-Everything thing that says "creature with power x or less cant be blocked this turn". I plan to pump my creatures with all the various tribal or color pump artifacts ect. even my 1/1 tokens should be larger than 2 power most of the time.

-Instants / Sorcery's that "add x to mana for each.." or "x creatures cant block this turn". I want the cards I play to have a permanent effect until my opponents find a way to deal with them, in EDH there are plenty of permanent choices where i feel "surprising" players on 1 turn is not worth the sacrifice

-Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre + Mesmeric Orb instead of Elixir of Immortality(cut elixir for now trying Ruby Medallion ). While I feel Ulamog is a better solution, it takes away from the flavor of the deck, and Eldrazi are usually frowned upon in my common playgroups. Feel free to try this in your playgroup, or perhaps if you go to a tournament.

-Anything that forces my creatures to "attack each turn if able". If I do not have Bedlam on the board I still want the choice to block with goblin fodder.

-Non Goblin creature "X". So far I have not found compelling enough reasons to play a non Goblin creature. Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre, Urabrask the Hidden, Magus of the Moon, Hanweir Garrison would all be on the list if I choose to move away from Goblins.

-No Sol Ring, Sensei's Divining Top, ect. See line 2 "French Ban list Legal (1v1)"
