Scythe out and testing new cards —Oct. 13, 2017
Okay. I think I got tired of playing with a completely broken card (see my previous update), so I'm removing Scythe of the Wretched.
I've also decided to remove Stranglehold to test Thorn of Amethyst. I'm not completely sure whether I'm going to remove stranglehold but that's a card I've not been very impressed with, maybe because we don't usually get to see how useful it is (i.e., it prevents players from cast certain spells, so they cast other, which are probably less optimal). I think 4 CMC is way too high to disrupt other players and I wanna see if thorn does a better job.
I started playing Abrade a few weeks ago and the card is very good. Flexibility is very important in a meta as varied as the one you find on MTGO. I think I removed a mountain to add it. NOt quite sure right now.
Another test card that I'm playing is Tsabo's Web, which made me remove Mutavault from the deck. It is a cantrip that locks cycling and utility lands. Need to play mroe games with it to see if it will find aplace in the deck or not.
The myriad mechanic is pretty interesting indeed, and is particularly good in combination with creatures that have ETB abilities. Unfortunately, we don't have good spells with (or that enable) the myriad mechanic yet, and the only creature I know I always have access to (Grenzo) does not have ETB and has the legend rule on top of it. Thanks for bringing it up to my attention though! Appreciate the upvote.

Blade of Selves and Warchief Giant were the 2 cards I think this deck could benefit from

Apocalypse may be a better fit for board wipe. Also maybe put some effects in there making Grenzo or another small creature unblockable (Dwarven Warriors comes to mind). Finally, Fireblast looks like it'd be a perfect fit for this deck.

@skochems: The only follow up to casting Apocalypse would be recasting Grenzo, and that's not good enough for multiplayer games. I've tried many different cards that give evasion or protection to our creatures (e.g., Break Through the Line, Dolmen Gate) but decided to remove them because their use is too narrow. Making lots of tokens, particularly thopters, is the way to go. Fireblast is awful--we're playing against multiple opponents that start with 40 life each and you really don't want to set yourself back that much just to deal 4 damage. Pyrokinesis is way, way better.

Awesome deck! Love how thorough the description is!
I think myriad abilities would work great in a deck like this!
