Are there any hex proof beaters? Resilience is key.

I'm questioning if gilded lotus and thran dynamo make sense... the goal really is to just get grenzo out.

As such, I'm thinking of taking out thran dynamo and gilded lotus, and putting in simian spirit guide and command beacon.

Regardless, command beacon really should be in this deck given the reliance on casting grenzo.

I just need to play test and see... the question is if the following ever do it for me: goblin welder, thran dynamo, gilded lotus.

So I am considering... out: thran dynamo, gilded lotus in: command beacon, (simian spirit guide | treasonous ogre)... or maybe mad prophet?

Basically I need to see if I ever cast gilded lotus and thran dyanmo when they're in my hand, and if they're worth not just having more creatures to hit.

omg I totally forgot to look at artifact creatures... AND I forgot to really look at <= B/R creatures. Need to do both.

Current thoughts (note: a previous version didnt save so I need to include those changes as well):

OUT

  • mad prophet

  • rakdos signet

  • talisman of indulgence

  • vesper ghoul (the artifacts are strictly better, and I dont think we need THAT much ramp at 3 CMC)

  • simian spirit guide

IN

  • iron myr

  • leaden myr

  • palladium myr

  • scuttlemutt

  • alloy myr

The downside is that board wipes will hurt me a lot more... but I think it is worth the increased grenzo efficiency. Though having these really makes the welder more powerful thats something to consider in the future

Wow, the modular creatures seem very dangerous

IN

  • arcbound overseer

  • arcbound lancer

OUT

  • Hellrider (not good enough!)
