This is a modern myr deck Ive been playing casually with. Ive only been playing with it for so long, but Ive had a rather high success rate with it and its fun to play. I used to have a huge description here, but I decided to shorten it to a few important bullet points. Heres everything you need to know about my deck named Grey Goo.
1: Use the Urza land cards to get a huge mana boost. Use Expedition Map to search your library for the ones you need, or for other important land cards like Cavern of Souls,
Inkmoth Nexus
or any of the two legendary lands.
2: Use Plague Myr and Palladium Myr for extra mana. Play Myr Galvanizer to get even more out of them. If you can get two copies of Myr Galvanizer on the battlefield and enough myr to produce at least two points of mana you can create an infinite mana loop.
3: Use
Myr Propagator
and Myr Turbine to get as many myr tokens on the battlefield as possible. You can also use Myr Battlesphere to get a lot of tokens on the battlefield at once and you can combo with Myr Galvanizer to produce even more tokens each turn or even unlimited tokens! Once you get enough myr permanents you can use Myr Turbine to search your library for any myr creature you want and put it on the battlefield.
4: Play Coat of Arms to boost your myr creatures to brutal levels. Once youve reached the point where you can produce at least one token each turn in addition to your other myr play
Eldrazi Monument
to make them indestructible and flying. Keep producing enough tokens and youll be able to keep Monument on the field indefinitely. You can also use Steel Overseer to ramp up the +1/+1 counters every turn.
5: Once youve got to the point when you can produce at least two tokens a turn, play Possessed Portal to bring your opponents game to a halt. You wont be able to draw either but if you can produce at least two tokens each turn, you wont have to worry about losing all your important permanents.
6: Kozilek, Butcher of Truth is mostly there for protecting you from milling, but feel free to play it if you get the chance. Play Miren, the Moaning Well to sacrifice any spare tokens you have for life points. Dont forget
Inkmoth Nexus
, as a creature, synergizes with both Steel Overseer and Coat of Arms so use it wisely.
