Grim-grim Zombie combo

Commander / EDH

Sorcery (1)

Grim-grin (a.k.a Grimmers) began as a pure zombie tribal deck but has evolved into something a little more scary.

The main win cons are infinite combos that involve sacrificing and recasting Gravecrawler. This can be achieved with Phyrexian Altar or Rooftop Storm and another sac outlet (Grimgrin, Corpse-Born, Carrion Feeder, Nantuko Husk, etc.). Opponents are killed with damage/life drain from Vengeful Dead, Diregraf Captain, or Tendrils of Agony.

Secondary win-cons include milling people with Undead Alchemist and Altar of Dementia, and a simple beat down strategy with either Grimmers himself or a token strategy (see below).

For protection, lots of counterspells, spot removal. Noxious Ghoul is amazing for controlling creatures and really decimates token decks.

Despite not having some of the classic zombie tribal token generators, this deck can make a lot of tokens - Undead Alchemist, Cemetery Reaper, Dark Salvation, Endless Ranks of the Dead, Diregraf Colossus, Grave Titan, Lich Lord of Unx. Lots of stuff here to make your tokens big and threatening as well - Death Baron, Diregraf Captain, Cemetery Reaper, Lord of the Undead - can give zombies up to +4/+4.

The token strategy is facilitated by giving zombies swampwalk - Blanket of Night and Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth to make lands into swamps, Zombie Master, Filth for swampwalk.
