Haha, that would be awesome. If this deck had more reanimation, maybe.

I thought about Doomed Traveler ... What would I cut for it, though? Midnight Haunting ...?

Entreat the Angels. You need some one casts.

ehhh it seems your doing too much here. for one you have 17 3 drops. never a good thing, plus you have way too many ideas here. tokens is one thing. extort is one thing. traft is one thing. choose one of these plans and focus on it, because right now your numbers are not managing right fo rany of these situatinos- choose your focus and fix it

Appreciate the input - thought I'd explain some of my decisions.

Blind Obedience is a one-of in the main board as a preemptive answer to aggro decks because I've learned that aggro beats this deck. If I get to extort with it, great, but that's not why it's there.

A single copy of an Extort card does NOT make this an Extort deck. I do plan to put a few more copies of Blind Obedience in the sideboard for the aggro matchups, though.

Geist of Saint Traft is just too good to pass up in this deck. If my opponent can't deal with it, I just win. And if they can deal with it, I want to have other options (like Lingering Souls , Drogskol Captain , etc.). Notice that all of my anthem effects buff spirits or tokens; a 3/3 Traft on turn 4 is harder to deal with than a 2/2 Traft.

Finally, with regards to the 17 3-drops... card:Sphinx's Revelation is technically a 3-drop, but casting it for less than 5 mana is just a waste of time. Don't let that deceive you when looking at the curve. Yeah, I do still have 15 3-drops, but Lingering Souls allows me to do more with those spells. The only 1-drop I really want to play is Doomed Traveler (and missing it is not the end of the world), and I think I've worked out the correct number of 2-drops; I do NOT want to miss a 3-drop in my curve. Instead of a 4-drop or 5-drop, I can play two spells (like an anthem and flashing back Souls on turn 4) that add significant value to my board state.

Tl;dr: Yes, the curve looks weird, but the playtesting I've done with this deck tells me that the problem with this deck is not its curve but its inherent vulnerability to aggro decks. At my last FNM, I ended 3-1, with my loss to Naya aggro.

using one of a card is never gonna help you. if its important, add 3 or four, and otherwise do without. i just cant hear you say this about traft -If my opponent can't deal with it, I just win. And if they can deal with it, I want to have other options. when he is used optimally, and as intended the entire deck you play him with is used to make sure that the opponent CANT deal with him. Feeling of Dread Unsummon Mana Leak and more are built to let him get through and stay alive. if you use hiim well, you dont NEED other options. having 2 1 drops is definitely a setback- adding four of those Beckon Apparition would work wonderfully- it would give you a one drop, and having an extra spirit is never a bad thing. it would fix your curve in replace for some of the cards that don't fit. your three drop curve, is tolerable, but it still hurts you a - turn 4 your probably screwed! excluding getting lucky with two 2 drops eve, after one t2 or a flashing of Lingering Souls , your gonna play nothing!!!

and my other questions: why Orzhov Charm ? why Obzedat, Ghost Council ? why one of Vault of the Archangel , and even 1 of Sorin, Lord of Innistrad ? if your only reasoning is that they are good, you are wasting valuable card slot because their uses would not fit to this decks plan. maybe adding 4 of Midnight Haunting and Rootborn Defenses would help your token strategy, which is should be you rprimary focus on here. im trying to help you out here bro, these tough decisions are whatits all about, and good luck with this

I guess I was just surprised at "either have extort or don't." Yeah, Blind Obedience will probably find its home in the sideboard.

Beckon Apparition is a card I was planning on sideboarding in against graveyard tricks. But you're probably right in that it's good enough in this deck to mainboard.

Orzhov Charm is usually a Vendetta , although its other modes can be useful.

If I owned more copies of Sorin, Lord of Innistrad , I'd definitely be playing more than one.

Obzedat, Ghost Council is both a big body and a clock for control games. If I have Drogskol Captain with Obzedat, they need instant-speed board wipe or to outrace me.

Vault of the Archangel is a card I'm torn about. Its ability is too good to ignore, but sometimes I don't like seeing it when I'm mana-screwed.

I'm thinking of sideboarding Traft and Blind Obedience in favor of Beckon Apparition , and trying to acquire another copy of Sorin and two more Obediences. What do you think?

Don't think of it as a token deck, think of it as spirits with a token focus.

haha yeah ok idk what i was saying i just hope you get what i mean. i appreciate you hearing me out and i like those ideas. im not sure about the charm, because i cant really see you needing that much removal in general, maybe just throw in a couple Ultimate Price ? and what would you really bring back from the graveyard, and i cant see unsummon being very useful. haha ill give it to you that Obzedat, Ghost Council is really good enough so that with the hexproof he definitely fits your lategame slot. Vault of the Archangel is nice, but lifelink doesnt seem to be really part of your plan, and maybe an alright outlet of mana in some situations but out of your focus. try it out if when you have enough mana to burn and end up actually using it. id definitely agree with bringing out traft and adding those beckon apparitions, but aside from that its looking in much better shape and the decisions are in your hands.

ill just tell you what i was thinking for the plan of your deck originally t1- beckon appparation or traveler. t2 t +1/+1, swing with traveler ideally spirit. t3 lingering souls, swing wiht spirit again. from here you have multiple optinos, but having 3 spirits as 2/2s and them at at 16 life is a very good situation. try to build off this

The problem with turn one Beckon Apparition is that if there are no cards in graveyards, the entire spell fizzles. I appreciate the input, but Beckon Apparition seems more like a sideboard card against graveyard tricks, while Geist of Saint Traft is too good to not play.

yeah i just realized that sorry about that. yeah it actually has a ton of uses in an orzhov deck but disregard all my feedback on that . still dont exactly discount the other stuff ive said haha

I actually had Drogskol Reaver in here, but the only times I was able to cast it, I was already a turn or two from winning. It was cool in theory with Azorius Charm , but I was never able to pull it off.
