This deck's win conditions are storming out with
Grinning Ignus
and
Brighthearth Banneret
.
The way the combo works is that with
Brighthearth Banneret
in play,
Grinning Ignus
cost 2 CMC to play. Pay 1 to bounce it and add 3 to your mana pool, though because of the 1 you payed to bounce it you net 2 mana. use
Skyshroud Elf
to make it red. You then pay 2 to cast
Grinning Ignus
and net 0 mana "storming" with Impact Tremors or
Furious Assault
.
If you have 2
Brighthearth Banneret
s and a
Skyshroud Elf
, you can net 1 mana per bounce of
Grinning Ignus
and empty your hand. The reason I am not running an "X" spell is because it is sooooo clunky and the chances of getting 2
Brighthearth Banneret
is slim.
Other Stuff
Cinder Pyromancer
is basically a storm on a stick, but can also ping an opponent for a couple a turn, because bouncing
Grinning Ignus
nets you -1 mana if you have no
Brighthearth Banneret
; making every red mana do 1 damage.
Smokebraider
just simply lets you cast multiple elementals a turn.
Apostle's Blessing just protects
Grinning Ignus
or
Brighthearth Banneret
.
Tormenting Voice: nuff said.
Fiery Temper is my removal for any nasty creature. It combos well with the "rummage" effects in my deck too. Before, I was the discarding X spells, so this is a promising new addition to the deck.
Side Board
I will finish the sideboard soon, so keep checking this deck if you like it. Tormod's Crypt was a common once,
Gorilla Shaman
destroys any artifact lands, and
Electrickery
hoses
Squadron Hawk
.
