TheGamer, the Boseiju, Who Shelters All is pretty good going into game 1 incase my opponent is counter heavy, but is usually sided out for something else if counters aren't a problem.
The turn 1 win is kind of hypothetical. Assuming the hand is: Griselbrand , Lightning Axe , Faithless Looting , 2x Simian Spirit Guide , Blackcleave Cliffs , and Izzet Charm . Play Faithless Looting , or Lightning Axe if they have a creature, using a Simian Spirit Guide and discard Griselbrand . Then play the land for turn and tap it for Black and use the other Simian Spirit Guide to cast Goryo's Vengeance to reanimate Griselbrand . Swing for 7, the score is now 27 - 13, and pay Griselbrand 's ability until you find a Fury of the Horde and at least 2 other red spells. Exile the red spells from your hand to play Fury of the Horde , making your opponents life now 6. Use Griselbrand 's ability again until you find another Fury of the Horde and at least 2 more red spells and cast Fury of the Horde again to swing for lethal damage.

I really like Goryo's Vengeance , I am planning to build a deck around it as well in combination with Nicol Bolas . Griselbrand is also huge of course!

I never actually thought about using Nicol Bolas with it Neoxtreem. I don't think I'm going to add him into this build, but its s interesting idea nonetheless! :p I may end up adding him in during more casual duels, though.

Haha that's what I like to hear! My friends don't really enjoy sitting across from this deck either, but I'm glad you liked it.

The Island and Swamp are there just so if one of my creatures gets Path to Exile d I can at least find a land from it.

Also, it would leave me more vulnerable to Blood Moon .

i like it alot. also would these help?+4x sleight of hand+4x dark ritual+4x thoughtsieze / 2x inquisition of kozilek+2 pact of negation(sided mained whichever you prefer)+(x) sign in blood
-4x Emrukal-4x unburial rights-4x gifts ungiven-4x through the breach
after playtesting the deck in solitare it seems that the griselbrand FTK/OTK is more important then having emrukal in there. hes fun but he seems to be slowing the deck down a little. i think cards like dark ritual might give you the edge, besides with 3-4 dark rituals in hand you could cast and use the effects of quicksilver amulet and wits end on turn 0! i dont know, its just some ideas i have floating around

I agree with some of the ideas you have, like adding some Thoughtsiezes/Inquisition of Kozilek s to the mainboard, but I'm not looking to change the deck so drastically. Also Dark Ritual isn't modern legal :(. But Emrakul, the Aeons Torn , Through the Breach , Gifts Ungiven , and Unburial Rites all have purposes in the deck. Emrakul, the Aeons Torn is the main guy during the late game, and pretty much the only way to get him out is with a Through the Breach in this deck. Swinging with a 15/15 that has annihilator 6 on turn 4-5 is pretty devastating to my opponent and lets me regain some time to set up another swing. It also lets me shuffle my graveyard back into my library, which cripples the occasional mill decks you find in the format too. And the Gifts Ungiven +Unburial Rites package are ways to insure that I can put a Griselbrand in the graveyard. Gifts Ungiven also gives me a way to bring out Griselbrand without having to sac/remove him from the game at the end of the turn. Thanks for taking the time to look through the deck and give your input though. I will definitely look into whether or not some hand hate spells should be mainboarded or not.

how do you even make it to late game? you would think decks like merfolk, birthing pod, and infect decks would have killed you by then.

You can also get Emrakul back with Vengeance. I just learned that you can react to his triggered ability by reanimating him. Then he won't be in the graveyard anymore when his ability tries to resolve.

That's also true. So, with atleast 3 mana open, I could cast Faithless Looting and discard Emrakul and then reanimate him with Goryo's Vengeance .

I like it +1 from me. Maybe switch Unburial rights with Makeshift Mannequin for another cheaper instant speed recursion

Not to mention you can snag Emrakul, the Aeons Torn from the grave with Makeshift Mannequin . It also fits in the curve a little better... Deck plug... Griselbrand's Apocalypse. Lol

This is exactly thr kind of deck I would love to have but unortunately I'm a little on the poor side. Griselbrand = OP in any deck. +1 from me. :)

I like the deck, +1 from me! Is Boseiju, Who Shelters All worth it. Pay 2 life to add mana to your pool?I know your spells are best uncounterable, but just don't see it.
Also, can you explain the turn 1 win to me? Don't understand it.
