Well, I run both forms of Jace in my Grixis deck only because I use Jace, Architect of Thought for the "mid game" and Jace, Memory Adept as a finisher (along side of Ashiok, Nightmare Weaver . This is another way for me to win long games when I don't get AEtherling online.
How has Master of Cruelties worked out for you? How many games have you won with comboing with him instead of just winning with AEtherling ? I tried to get him to work (especially with Thassa, God of the Sea ), but combo doesn't usually work in standard as well
For reference, here's my build:
Rock, Paper, Grixis!! Playtest

Master of Cruelties has worked out wonderfully for me. I can just make someone's life total 1 by attacking and then Rakdos's Return for 1 and it's GG. Also I can Ral Zarek minus him to deal them 3 damage in Main Phase 2. Basically, their life total is 1 so they're in a tight pickle.
I really like your deck. It has the one card that can lifegain in Grixis control, so your Thoughtseize is fine.

I actually also win pretty consistently comboing him with my direct damage cards. For instance, a game 2 Pithing Needle screws over AEtherling , while Master of Cruelties is left untouched. Grixis has no way to get rid of Enchantments except Slaughter Games , but that's a turn 4 minimum play.

there is Cyclonic Rift , counterspells, and Ratchet Bomb . Kind of a stretch on the last one but still an option.

I would drop 1 AEtherling no needto have two and run 1 more Hero's Downfall

I agree with wolfsokol. Having 2 x AEtherling
in the maindeck can lead to an awkward start against aggressive decks if you start with both in your opening 7.
Either Hero's Downfall or Quicken which would allow for more sorcery interaction on your opponent's turn and more draw as well

I tried having just one AEtherling , but at my meta it pretty much dies by Thoughtseize and then I suddenly lose my best win-con. It's always nice to have 2 just in case.

Well, if you drop the 2nd one and add in an Elixir of Immortality instead you could reshuffle your graveyard back into your deck so that you can draw it again.
It also gives Grixis some MUCH needed lifegain

I agree with harrydemon117 about Elixir of Immortality

Personally I'd up Ashiok to 3 copies and Jace to 4 copies. You probably don't want Slaughter Games mainboard at all and you want to up your counters. 4x Strikes and maybe 3-4 copies of Far//Away.

Ok, first of all, Counterflux can be hard to cast, so I would get Dissolve , Essence Scatter , one of those, just my two cents.
If you can find room, Ashiok, Nightmare Weaver does alot of work against most decks and he can steal blockers or win cons for you.
Slaughter Games is more sideboard material since first game you won't know what you're up against really and Mogis, God of Slaughter is really only good against control, where they have no creatures. Normally, any old aggro deck will just sack a meaningless creature each turn.
