I'd suggest playing 4x Hero's Downfall and take 1 Izzet Charm out for it.

also...Izzet Charm isn't what it's cracked up to be. You either lose a card with the draw mode, the 2 damage is ONLY to creatures and the counterspell is just a negate unless they have mana up

I like Izzet Charm . Sure its not as good as the spells with the effects that make it up, but its so versatile. It can be removal or a counterspell, and if you don't use either of those its hand manipulation. Sure its not as good as Azorius Charm or Think Twice but it does the job.

I agree with Bestach on the topic of Izzet Charm .
It's kinda sad that many of our (Grixis) spells are mere substitutes for popular Esper/Azorius cards - Izzet Charm fills in for Azorius Charm , Opportunity is the closest thing to Sphinx's Revelation we can get, Anger of the Gods is not as good a board wipe as Supreme Verdict ...

Yeah. I enjoy playing Esper, but one of the most fun decks I've played lately in standard is my Grixis control. Its too inconsistent to beat any of the top decks which is why I also play Mono-black Devotion, but I wish it was playable because its so fun. I wish wizards would print better black or red board wipes and that there was a strong Dimir or Izzet version of Sphinx's Revelation . Its such a fun deck to play, I want it to have better cards.
Izzet Charm , Opportunity and Anger of the Gods are great, but they just aren't in the same league as the other Esper versions out there.

Have you tried running Ratchet Bomb over Anger of the Gods for the "board wipe" against aggro? I've found that it also helps vs Detention Sphere and other pesky enchantments that us Grixis players have trouble in dealing with
