The 'flavor' of green doesn't run many artifacts. They're kind of anti-artifact. My kamahl deck only runs like 4, and I can live without them if it means killing everyone else's mana rocks and ensnaring bridges.
As far as green flyer hate, it has a lot. Other than the myriad X spells like Squall Line and Corrosive Gale, there are targeted flyer removal spells, but there are also enchantments like Gravity Well and Raking Canopy. There are also enchantments that let you attack without fear of being blocked by flyers, and of course stuff like Siege Behemoth to not care about blockers anyway.
There's also Silklash Spider, a repeatable X anti-flyer spell on a stick.

One card I always recommend in green is Boundless Realms. Green being able to ramp so well, this will make things explode. You could also run cards like Molimo, Maro-Sorcerer and Allosaurus Rider to take advantage of the massive landbase.

@endersblade: Thank you for the suggestions, some of these cards I used to run but took out (Raking Canopy can't hit Prossh, Skyraider of Kher, the worst offender of the flying group and there isn't much else flying commander damage out there to make it worth it), but Boundless Realms, Gravity Well, and Silklash Spider would all be great in this deck. As always, any ideas on what I could take out?

Animist's Awakening out for Boundless Realms. I have played the Awakening in several decks, and I really never get all that many lands. Boundless Realms is more reliable.
Not sure on the spider. You seem to have a lot of anti-blue in this deck; is blue a heavy color in your meta? Mistcutter Hydra isn't all that great and could be replaced with Silklash Spider, unless you really need the prot blue. And it looks like you already got Gravity Well in, which is amazing in Green...There aren't all that many flyers out there that can stand up to the massive beaters Green has access to on the ground :-)

Animist's Awakening is for when I combo off, I only use it for ramp when I'm desperate. I use it to filter out lands from my deck if the game is stalling out so I'm not stuck topdecking as the biggest target in the game. I use Mistcutter Hydra for a surprise finisher if an opponent is at low health or I go infinite. It gets past Fog Bank and it is difficult to stop it from getting to you.
I think I've decided to take out Lurking Predators because although it is a fantastic EDH card, I feel like more often than not the target it puts on my back isn't worth it.

If you're going to run the Awakening, check out Scouting Trek.

I've actually just taken out Animist's Awakening for Boundless Realms, as you said. I've also added Living Wish and a 10-card sideboard if you want to check that out, I listed the uses of the cards in the Description. I'm also thinking of Upwelling as an alternative until I get an Omnath, Locus of Mana, and also to play a bit of politics. What do you think?
October 20, 2016 11:01 p.m.
I would take out Suncrusher for Worldspine Wurm any day. He only comes in with one counter and it seems like such a waste for a 9 CMC.

Suncrusher enters with 5 counters. Because Selvala can grant any combination of colors, I have access to red, black, blue, and white. A few months back they changed the rule that said "Mana outside your commander's color identity becomes colorless as a state-based action." I already am running Worldspine Wurm, but am still looking to take out Suncrusher, as you are right about it being kind of unwieldly. It becomes significantly better with haste, and if I have infinite mana, I can wipe the board. Otherwise, he just gets killed easily. Probably going to replace it with Upwelling or Primal Command. Thoughts?

Be careful with Upwelling, it works for your opponents too. Last thing you need is blue players floating mana lol.
Was thinking a bit last night, some other flyer hate: Arashi, the Sky Asunder, Tornado Elemental, and then targeted stuff like Crash Landing and Aerial Predation.
As far as Upwelling goes, you might want to look at Vernal Bloom. Or, if you feel like spending the money, switch to snow-covered lands and use Extraplanar Lens.
Another Hydra I can highly recommend, Hydra Omnivore. Especially if you have Blade of Selves - If they all go unblocked (say, thanks to Siege Behemoth), all of your opponents will take a minimum of 24 damage! (The Blade also works great with thing that have ETB effects, like the aforementioned Tornado Elemental - clear flyers out at every combat step, AND get three sudo-unblockables!)

Blade of Selves also does stupid, stupid stuff with Worldspine Wurm - how does 6 5/5 tokens a turn sound?

I hate that you can't edit posts...
You could also pick up a Myojin of Life's Web - nothing like dropping a handful of fatties for free. Also useful against wraths - it survives, and then you can drop a bunch of creatures after the wrath. So you get an 8/8 when most everyone else has nothing, plus whatever you have in hand. I see you have it in the SB, I would definitely recommend moving it to MB.
Just some other green goodness I can think of, Bear Umbra, Spearbreaker Behemoth, Abundance + Sylvan Library (Such a ridiculous combo), Nemesis Mask for your Engulfing Slagwurm to eat EVERYTHING, and Asceticism for another source of mass Hexproof.

The sideboard is for Living Wish, I go over all the cards in it in the description. It's mainly for useful but situational creatures. I'm working on getting Bear Umbra and an Asceticism, but until then, all I have is Archetype of Endurance. Thank you!

Awesome deck! +1 from me!
One suggestion that I have is an underrated card in EDH and that is Brawn. It is perfect in a mono-green deck. The odds of getting it exiled are relatively low because it really doesn't seem that big of a threat. But through it against your opponents to get it killed, and now every one of your creatures immediately has trample which is not likely to go away.
I may take some of your ideas for my own mono-green deck! Omnath, Locus of Creature Ramp

I used to run Brawn, but in my meta there is a lot of graveyard hate. I replaced it with Genesis who I eventually took out too. It's a good card, just not well suited to my deck. Thank you for the suggestion and the +1, and you are welcome to use as much of this deck as you like!
October 21, 2016 11:38 a.m.
Gotcha! Well that's understandable! I don't play too much with graveyard hate decks so it works for me. Two other suggestions I would make is if you are in need of flying defense, consider Hornet Queen and Ulvenwald Hydra. HQ is not a big hitter, BUT an excellent flying deterrent. And the hydra can be a helpful in several ways: ramp, reach, and potentially a big hitter.

Hornet Queen is also another good one with Blade of Selves, but if he runs a lot of anti-flyer hate, the Queen is going to be really useless. Green has a small number of decent flyers, but an enormous toolbox if flyer hate...unless you're going all in, it's better to just stop everyone else from using flyers.
I forgot to mention my favorite anti-flyer card, Whirlwind. Green wrath. Gotta love it.

I thought that in Commander any color mana you produce outside your color identity automatically gets filtered to colorless. I have kept away from sunburst/converge for that reason.
October 29, 2016 5:05 p.m.
ThoAlmighty says... #20
They changed that a while back, I'm not quite sure why, and I do get a lot of people telling me that my sunbursts will only come in with 1 counter. Even though I'm a level 1 judge, they never believe me. I ended up removing most of the cards with sunburst and converge just because it was a pain to have to prove it to them.

Predator, Flagship is an all-star fly swatter in my Selvala deck.
Its expensive sure but it works two ways. Making your fatties into flying blockers or killing their creatures directly.
It also gives your fatties evasion over the unfortunate opponent who finds himself stuck on the ground.

Kalonian Hydra? Once it gets out there and attacks, it will keep doubling as you swing with it.
May 2, 2017 2:28 p.m.
not to mention all the other creatures you have with +1/+1 counters on it double as well
ThoAlmighty says... #1
I'm mostly Creeping Corrosion it because I had a copy before I built this deck. It is a very situational card and might be better replaced by something more direct. I usually find it just hangs out in my hand half the time, and when I do play it, it's just because I can, not because there is something specific I want to destroy. One thing I'm working on is getting a Living Wish so I can fill my sideboard with situational creatures like Acidic Slime, Bane of Progress, then a few of the less useful creatures from my mainboard, potentially making room for cards like Squall Line, Hurricane, and Omnath, Locus of Mana.
