Thanks for your Imput Ozomoto! I have been playtested this deck and wow... Thought Scour + Remand and the 8 Cantrips and 10 Fetch lands allow for you to cast Murderous Cut very~easliy ... Maybe there should be a split like 1 Dismember or Terminate & 1 Murderous Cut
Also remember Tasigur's ability potentially feeds the graveyard after turns 5+ onwards. So somtimes you want to delve away those useless Thought Scour and Gitaxian Probe AFTER you have a Tasigur online.

U dont wanna use disruption spells? I have Inquisition of kozilek in my starting 60.

Tobyha< To answer your question...
I feel like the cantrips Thought Scour, Serum Visions and Gitaxian Probe synergise better with Young Pyromancer and Taylor swiftspear. Also when I get around to activating Tasigur, the Golden Fang ability (T5+), at worse they can give me a cantrip. (which just draws me 1 card) Where as if I was running discard i run the chance of drawing it later in the game or getting it off a Tasigur activation. (discard is worse later in the game) (simply drawing a card is really powerful)
I think if i wanted to play Thoughtseize & Inquisition of Kozilek I would want to steer away from Monastery Swiftspear. This does not mean i wouldn't consider it.
I might look to include Thoughtseize over Monastery Swiftspear. But Im a bit worried the deck wont function as fluidly. (You want to be casting spells every turn to fuel Delve and trigger Young Pyromancer and Monastery Swiftspear)

this is my list, i still play a lot of the drawing cantrips, but no swiftspears (i will test them too). i prefer inquisition, because i dont lose life (vs thoughtseize).

Cryptic Command is always good in Grixis, but maybe not in tempo? It's out of a lot of people's budget, so maybe that's why it's not main-boarded?
January 31, 2015 10:29 a.m.
@ J-person Yeah Crypic Command is a brilliant magic card. But this is a tempo deck i could probably fit 1 in the main board but with 20 mana im not always getting to 4 mana on turn 4. im really liking how it has tested so far... its nt out of the question... what would you concider cutting for it?

A Thought Scour? I know they are not really comparable, but it does seem like the most disposable cards in the deck.

Hibernation in sideboard for boggles? It's such a blowout all the time, decent vs Junk/Jund aswell, not to mention the occasional rogue G Aggro.

21 land seems like a lot for a delver build. You might want to shave a couple off. I'm not sure if Batterskull is worth it either.

You seriously need Monastery Swiftspear. The reason that Delver is a good archetype is because of Monastery Swiftspear being the 1 drop threat that the Delver deck needed for a while. The absence of Monastery Swiftspear means that there are less 1 drop threats thus taking away from your early game, especially turn 1.
Anyway love the deck idea, I think it's the way to go for Delver to rise to its former glory and definitely gonna try it out. +1

Thanks, BLSCHAOS.
I originally had Monastery Swiftspear in here, but took them out. They we not nearly as impactful as I had hoped. I think they are a little bit better if i were playing UR or UWR Delver where the extra burn and removal in Path to exile is accessible. But I chose to go on the more counter heavy route. (which is'nt really great for the swift spears). However I have stolen multiple games against a Liliana of the Veil and Tarmogoyf with Young Pyromancer and Creeping Tar Pit.
If I were to go back to the Monastery Swiftspear plan I would definitely recommend ditching the Creeping Tar Pit and also cutting back to 20 Lands. And swapping out the Batterskull for Forked Bolt.

DERPLINGSUPREME Delver of Secrets Flip??
The deck looks very nice! I'm interested in the Deprive in your Maybeboard. I've never actually played Delver, but it seems pretty sweet.

I'm almost certain that I did. I'll just leave this conversation awkwardly...

duffman24 Don't advertise your bloody deck on someone else's page. It is disrespectful unless using it as a reference, or asking for an opinion if it's the same archetype.
Xuhle Being a huge fan of Snapcaster Mage, it would please me to see 4th Snappy instead of the 3rd Tasigur.

Though you could move the Vendilion Clique to the sideboard, or remove it entirely from the mainboard instead. Clique is not great at the moment with all these Lingering Souls going around, but you should have >=1 in the 75.
March 25, 2015 3:44 a.m.
JexInfinite - there are two decks running Lingering Souls W/B tokens and Junk midrange. I don't think you should remove the best card you have, just to because it's bad against one card.
It's amazing against control, amazing against combo. And still great against aggro.
7 percent of the meta is junk, right? I'm not really sure. If it's like 15+ I don't think you should play it mainboard. But if it's still 7-9-ish, I think you can play it succesfully.

Vendilion Clique is definitely not the best card. It's decent against control, but by T3 they have counter mana up. It beats combo pretty well, and is average against aggro. The meta is about 12% Abzan, but the amount of decks which Clique does nothing against is quite high. It's a terrible topdeck most of the time, but it really does work against random decks on T3.
The benefit to having it mainboard is that it tells you exactly what the opponent is playing. Not as good late game, but a killer before T5.
On thing I detest is the 3 Thought Scour. This is not Storm. This is not UR Delver with Treasure Cruise. Tasigur, the Golden Fang is not a Cruise, and you shouldn't treat him like one. He's a very good card, and you can easily get him on T3 without trying too hard. Thought Scour doesn't advance your plan much, and is the worst cantrip. Remand, on the other hand, should be an instant 4x.

I would suggest cutting murderous cuts for dismember/terminate as tasigur already is delving out cards and a hand with cut and tasigur makes you choose during the early game rather then just pumping cards out like delver does.
