Well my first sanctioned tournament with this deck was a complete success. I went 4-1 in the main rounds, then lost in round 2 of top 8 to complete the record at 5-2. Now here are the results:
Round 1 vs. Jeskai Black (Won 2-0)
Well this was an interesting match. My deck preformed pretty much perfectly both games, each with a turn 3 tutelage and game 2 turn 5 second tutelage. I got all the removal I needed against it, and I just dominated winning 2-0.
Round 2 vs. R/G Eldrazi Ramp (Lost 1-2)
Well I can say I didn't expect to play this deck at game day. Game 1 he just flooded the board with eldrazis before I could get close to milling him out, so I conceded after he played the Ulamog. Game 2 I got turn 4 tutelage, and I hit a ton of doubles so I took game 2 easily. Now game 3, he flooded the board with mana dorks, but luckily, Languish took them out, minus the Gaea's Revenge, which combined with a follow-up hooting mandrils followed by Surrak, the Hunt Caller, I went down when he had 3 cards in library when I had double tutelage, so close!
Round 3 vs. Boros Allies (Won 2-1)
I hate Gideon. Game 1 was dominant, turn 3 tutelage, turn 4 tutelage, then a ton of draw milled him out turn 6. Game 2 was different, he got out a Gideon, Ally of Zendikar, and before I was able to deal with it, he already got in 10 damage with it and I couldn't come back from it. Game 3 was a repeat of game 1, just domination, and counterspells for Gideon.
Round 4 vs. Green Eldrazi Ramp (Won 2-1)
I didn't expect to play 1, yet alone 2! This match was better for me, his Void Winnower killed me game 1, but easy mill game 2 thanks to many tutelages. Game 3 was incredibly close, but he couldn't get the last land to cast Gaea's Revenge and kill me, just barely getting the win there.
Round 5 vs. Mardu Tokens (Won 2-0)
Thank you Languish. His deck was pretty much just around going wide with tokens and using cards like Butcher of the Horde to kill you, plus 4 Hangarback Walkers. I milled him out both game 1 and 2 with all the removal I needed to win my way into top 8.
(I was Ranked 2nd in Top 8 so I had priority over both opponents I played)
Top 8 Round 1 (Round 6) vs. Atarka Red (Won 2-0)
I love getting doubles. Turn 3 tutelage game 1 and turn 4 game 2 was really good, and since he didn't run that many lands, a lot of doubles happened. Went down to 1 life game 1, but milled him out before he could deal enough damage, mostly to Monastery Swiftspear + 2 Titan's Strengths, for 9 turn 2 hurt. Game 2 was pretty dominant, had removal for all of his guys and won my way into top 4.
Top 8 Round 2 (Round 7) vs. Mardu Dragons (Lost 2-0)
I was so close to winning these games, I really was. Game 1 I had a consistent draw, and turn 4 tutelage, but dashed Kolaghan, the Storm's Fury is what did me in. I lost game 2 due to a misplay, I killed my flipped jace to flashback a Disperse targeting his Shambling Vent, but too bad it says nonland, it cost me the game. I had 3 tutelage's when it finished, but Shambling Vent finished me off when 1 more draw could've killed him.
In conclusion, I'm incredibly happy with how my deck preformed. I'm for sure going to keep playing this deck in the future, and hey if you do too, I would love to hear you results from games. Thanks!
