Just want to say that a little while after my version of a green / red collected company became popular on tapped out craig wescoe posted a very similar version to mine and he called it a rising archetype. So what I am trying to get at is this form of deck will certainly be competitive. Now back to your build... for a deck such as this to be effective you need to find a good balance of solid 1-3 drop creatures and maybe a handful of 4 drops as finishers. If you are going the Ball Lightning / Groundbreaker route I would suggest some mana fixing and as few basic lands as possible. I see you already have some Birds of Paradise so thats perfect. Also, I see you have a playset of Sylvan Caryatid. Seeing as this deck needs to kill fast I think this is overkill, perhaps drop that to 1-2 caryatids and replace them with some turn one plays such as Goblin Guide or Spark Elemental? As for your lands don't forget that Copperline Gorge and Rootbound Crag are great cards to consider. Lastly, how has Den Protector been working for you? He was very awkard for me in my build because he requires a turn to set up and if he is flipped off of a collected company he doe not give that much value. Lastly, I just want to point out some other creatures that have worked great in my playtests: Flinthoof Boar, Hell's Thunder, and Strangleroot Geist. Anyways, just some thoughts. +1 from me.

Exiled_soul, Cool deck man! I tried to build it from memory. I thought I had upvoted your deck when I first saw it so that I could find it again, but I guess I didn't. So I made sure to remedy that this time!

Anywho. I have been working with several versions of the Collected Company decks, With my Junk deck being the most consistent , but I have always loved the Ball Lightning since the first ones I held in my hands from The Dark and 4th Edition. I've been wanting to build another Ballz deck ever since I started back into magic. So now with Collected Company it seems to be all coming together.

I don't have the Groundbreakers yet, but I built a VS of the deck with what I could scrounge up and it worked pretty well. I did lose 2 games in a row to my Bro's Naya Zoo, but I almost had him both times, And I have A janky build and his is all Tit's Out so I figure it can only get better! Check it out if you have time?
